More Of The 2017 Honda Line Up Announced At EICMA, Milano
The 'Blade' is out of the bag with confirmation the Standard CBR1000RR will join the Fireblade SP and SP2 to complete the CBR1000 line-up for 2017.
Announced this morning at EICMA in Milan; the CBR1000RR will come to Australia with ABS as standard and be available in Matte Ballistic Black Metallic and Victory Red.
The "Total Control" design approach has been continued through the standard model as well, with a focus on cornering, acceleration and braking.
This 25th anniversary CBR1000RR has a 14% improvement in power-to-weight ratio thanks to a weight reduction of 15 kg and has a 10 horsepower increase.
Fully loaded with a cutting-edge electronics package, the CBR1000RR is underpinned by the "Next Stage Total Control" concept, with nimble handling and amazing acceleration.
Honda has also revealed 5 other key models destined to hit Australian showrooms in 2017.
A new CB650FL and CBR650FL have been announced, both four-cylinder models will see Showa Dual Bending Valve front forks and revised Nissin brake Calipers.
The CB650 is a stripped back, tough looking machine for 2017 and the CBR650 has redrawn bodywork highlighting the engine and aggressively pumps up the Super Sport styling. Both will be available in Australia in Matte Gunpowder Black Metalic and Millenium Red.
A new CRF250L is also due - available as standard or with the option of ABS, namely the CRF250LA.
There will be the addition of the CRF250 Rally or CRF250RLA to the adventure line up, which will excite those keen to start some off road touring.
The motto which underpinned development of the model rings true to the finished product, an entry level adventure bike – "The Dakar Replica: For the weekend adventurer!"
Finally the SH150 scooter will make a come back into the Aussie marketplace and will be available in two colours; Pearl Jasmine White and Pearl Dark Ash Green.
More information on all models including specs will be available in the coming days.
