Leo Vince 4 Road exhaust fitted to Fuoco

Had the Leo Vince 4 Road fitted today on the Fuoco. At the moment the Db killer is out, and it sounds like a KTM single dirt bike so I am told.

I rode it home from the dealer tonight and this is LOUD! (and I ride a Harley!) So the wifey says I can use the Fuoco tomorrow for work so I will put the Db killer in for comparison.

The exhaust note is fine at tickover and cruising, but give it a handful leaving the lights and it's like Jeckyl and Hyde Devil Cagers know you are there Big Smile

    -----------------------------------------------------------

OK, could not get the Db killer in this morning without forcing...and it would be a lot harder to get it out, so I went to work with it out.

I adjusted my riding style to suit ie don't gun it from the lights but stay one car behind from the front and the exhaust precence is good, feel safe with some sound eminating from the Wee Beastie. Cruising at 60 or 110 kph very nice.

Well pleased, will let you know what the wifey thinks next week after she has endured the 7am stop start crowd. Automobile

OK, looks bigger than in real life from this angle, the LV is 7cm or close to 4 inches shorter than the stock muffler and at least 1/3 the weight.

The original is a HUGE weight on the rear axle. Until you pick up the OEM from the floor you wont believe it!__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

This is down the guts with Db killer out, I want to paint the area where it was removed.__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

This is a close up of the Db killer that was removed at birth.

This thing will never see life, easy to remove, but sorry no shots of it in.

Hand shield, stops rain and a lot of wind but does not kill the wind chill. So will be looking dor some heated grips for the wifey.

You will find the Hot Grips well worth it. I have mine fitted so that I can forget to turn them off and not drain the battery. I got the Oxford ones with a switch so that varying levels of heat can be used. My hands are always warm and it keeps them flexible even on a longer ride.

I am investigating both the barkbusters and the Leo Vince you show hear with a view to installing both.

The distributor is Steve Cramer, but when I last looked their website was 3 years out of date and I questioned them on that and was told "we are updating our system"

    3 YEARS!

So I decided I might get quicker service on the other side of the planet..... I contacted ScooterTrap in USA. Had the goods in 4 days at my door, excellent service.

Yes we should support local dealers but they are the middlemen who then have to order from the distributor (in Aust) and they usually order from the USA!

So to answer your question, order locally if you want it for a Chrissy present or look overseas if you would like it for the next weekend ride.

    Interesting to read about...Well done!

Just wondering, with the Db killer out, do you run a high risk of being pulled over by the police & fined etc. Or do the police not know the difference between Db in & Db out? How stringently is this kind of thing monitored by them? I'm curious only because I may at some time in the future do something similar to you !

I don't no about now but a few years back NSW had a big crack down exhausts where checked for stamped as road legal and baffles in . If a cop thought your bike was loud that was it didn't even have to check the decibels with a monitor . If its above allowed decibels there is always a risk of getting prosecuted

Hi ColdCola, I see your from Sydney, I believe the different states have different views regarding 2 wheeled transport.

Over here in the Wild West not only have the police force dumped 2/3rds of bike cops off the road, they are more interested in us Harley riders and yes I agree with you, with scooters they would'nt know what a Db killer was. However a loud scooter would attract attention if there were cops on bikes to hear it Wink

Anyway I heard my wife riding up a hill this arvo on the bike and the Fuoco sounded like an everyday dirt bike...unlikely to attract too much attention. If you are in traffic and you pull away from lights amongst the traffic same again no drama. But I have to say from a riders POV if you get to the front and gun it it sounds again just like a dirt bike gunning it....which is loud!

I have yet to be behind the bike, but it seems a lot louder on the bike than if you were sitting in a cage behind it...obviously!

However this pipe rumbles and if you find yourself next to a cop car and dont want any attention just pull away gracefully and I would imagine you would be OK. It's all down to your right wrist!

The LV system is so much lighter than OEM and it really suits the character of the Fuoco.

Hi EGStreem i like the sound of a new pipe but i am pratical and would like to know have you found a difference in performance in your bike with the new pipe. eg fuel comsumption, power etc. or is the pipe just for show meaning the sound? cause $300 odd dollars for one is a lot just for a sound!!
