A few of these have been selling so it would not surprise me if you do see a few around. Plus all the HART riding schools are giving them a go.

Good to see you are still enjoying it....

    Re: Honda PCX 125

I have a white one, up to about 2,500km on it.  I get around 230km to a tank, I use it mainly for commuting to work which is a 80km round trip.  I do a mixture of freeway riding and back streets.  Travel on the Monash which is limited to 80km in some places.  Really love that it is so light, so makes it so easy to filter.  Have had a few good comments about it and quite a few cars trying to race me off at the lights.  Have even taken off faster than some of the triumphs.  My speedo is out by 8km/h.  So that taken into account manage top speed of about 100km/h.  Have been thinking I might need something with a little bit more power to get me out of trouble, was considering the Derbi Gp250 but the fuel consumption won't be as good (service intervals further apart) and less storage.

Yep a Triumph Daytona and another Triumph.  Only till I got to about 40 though, then he over took me.  But it does beat mosts cars off at the lights.

i doubt it, but i'd like to join her...Wink but not now she'd be 100 thats sick Ick!

my gts 300 gets to 50km/h in the mid-low 3 second mark down from mid-low 4's stock and i cant beat any real bikes

my suzuki 1800 would get to over 100km/h before my vespa will hit 50km/h and it was easy and repeatable and even that wasnt a match for a light weight 4cyl

    Fuel Update PCX

update on the PCX fuel usage - 1950km, 56 ltrs.  the PCX performs much better around town, with best consumption so far =  41 km/lt , and highway riding down to 35 km/lt.   can't wait till the National Rally in Sydney next September to test the theory of using 25lts of fuel to travel from Brisbane!

35 000 scooting kms and beyond

I would expect that because 125cc works pretty hard at highway speeds. On the other hand city is where the stop idle feature can come into play producing those additional 5% savings that Honda promised.

Lol. I'm quite sure the guy on the daytona wasn't trying to do anything. I think it's all in your head with the 'dragging'.

If he reved the bike up to almost redline and used the clutch to launch, then he would be trying to drag you :D.

But glad to see you are having fun :D. Enjoy!

I can't wait to get my hands on my friend's espresso. Gonna try and drag things more often :P.

    Exs: CB250, GS500, DL650, Espresso 150, Triumph Street Triple, ZZR250, CB900F Hornet
    Current: CBR125R / Piaggio Fly 150 3V

I find it a publicity stunt, ask yourself how much fuel does a 125 4stroke use at idle, maybe 100mpg wouldnt it be a better option to spend that development on suspension something missing on almost all scooters, if a company spends more  money on advertisement than on the scooter then the industry is going nowhere realy fast.

look at it for what it is a very expensive 125,its a honda so the quality should be there, but when it goes wrong this technology will cost heaps and make it a expensive secondhand scooter.

I see them on the road at the same speed as everybody else, in the same traffic, stopping at the same traffic lights and almost being hit bye the same car drivers so the extra expense dosent stack up.

No sorry the polution argument is rubbish in this country, in queensland i can buy a new car not service it have it run on 5 cylinder instead of my purchased 6 and then if i dont let the rego run out, drive it for 200,000 ks poluting everything.

Like i said how much are you going to save, saying 5c is not a measured statement just a assumption.

Can you tell me if it has a catalyser or a three way catalytic converter in the exhaust, this would help your polution problem and negate the shutting down of the engine, which is creating hot spots and oil drain away from bearings.

Remember the PRYUS  oh thats right its still hear , but wait the shine will wear off that little project as well.

I go back to my original comment where is the good suspension and three way converter, and some commitment to the future in engineering,I have spent 25 years studying engines of all shapes and sizes, if turning the engine off is all we get then im building a 500cc 2 stroke just to be different.
