Jiajue 150ss hits the front (scooter racing at Lakeside 18/7/2010)

Jiajue 150ss hits the front winning 2 of the three races on Sunday, after a tyre change in between meetings the Jaijue 150ss came out and run 2 seconds a lap quicker getting up into 1st place against some stiff competition ,the 150ss with a couple of bolt on mods carby ,pipe, hit clutch cdi,set of rear shocks and fitted with Pirelli street tyres was able to run with the fast guys ,the 150ss power plant still stock is showing some great pace , Rick from Oz scooters who fully sponsors the team was extatic that the rear stock bike is going so well ,soon to have some performance parts arrive it looks like Jaijue 150ss will have a big future on the street as well as in scooter racing in Australia .

Congratulations on your successes with the jai jue 150.

After reading about your proving the scooters from Jai Jue are able to race with proven reliability, a few on this forum should be swallowing their ill informed words of criticism about this make of scooter.

Well done tracktune I wish you continued success,  and its great to hear of an importer standing behind his product by giving you full sponsership and support, we dont see many of the other importers doing this..

Thanks Niks, now I have found what the 150ss std motor is capable of, its time to bolt on a big bore kit hopefully it will be here before the next race meet ,and the new matadore 50 is also going realy good ,it has better ground clearance than the power sport, that i placed 2nd in the Summer series on and Reece my son was only 4 seconds of the pace of the 150 on its first outing ,we are happy with the performance of all the Jiajue scooters  , and as the 150ss spends the time between race meets on the road as well it is proving to be a great all rounder ,ride to work or the store during the week ,and either hit the mountains or the race track on the weekends ,pretty good hey .

    Cheers

Have you tried the pirellis in the wet and what do you think of them as a general purpose tyre

Niks, when we see comments from someone who isn't a dealer, and hasn't got a vested interest in promoting the product, then perhaps I'll consider eating my words.  Until then, I'm afraid that from my perspective, the jury is still out.  Strangely you don't trust magazine journalists to tell you a factual story, but you'd trust in this particular instance the word of someone who sells the product.  It makes me question the impartiality that you so desperately seem to crave and stand up for.

In the meantime, I am sure that a number of people will keep watching with interest, as there is a huge market for anything that is low cost in this great country, irrespective of its quality or reliability.

Additionally, I did check the video, but wasn't able to determine what the other scooters that the JiaJue was being raced against were?   Can anyone enlighten us? And given that the Jia Jue came second, I'm sure we'd all like to know which came first.

i think the race was mixed with bucket racers and scooters, the other scooters were the 50cc four stroke that tracktune is testing with his son? and Robs 50cc Vmoto monza and the other Rob on his TGB101s and if i remember correctly Rob on the TGB 101s came first on the day

Ahh!  Ok, so a 50cc beat the 150cc JiaJue.

Tell me Niks, as the great champion of JiaJue scooters, what is your take on that?   Hopefully when all the perfomance parts are on, the fiddys will get a bit of competition eh?

I don't think I'm going to be word eating today...

Steve, tracktune is not a dealer where do you get that idea from?? At least the JaiJue's have proven to have less reliabilty problems than your vespas, methinks you just have a problem seeing a product proving to be more reliable than the picture your comments keep trying to paint.

show me an article by a magazine journalist that demonstrates reliability, fuel consumption comparisons, cost of spares comparisons etc they are very scarce articles that do this. they seem to all be gushing oohs and ahs of what it looks like and how the girls like it and what a dream colour and other pointless platitudes. oh and your fully entitled to your own narrow perspective and Im sure your jury is not much better,

Wow, what venom.  But you are right.  Tracktune are not a dealer, just "the authorised service agent for OzScooters in South East Queensland".  If you didn't know - do the reaseach and check their website.   So clearly they aren't in anyway shape or form biased at all.  And I've never said that magazine articles are accurate either - no medium which is paid for by advertising is going to be anything but biased to those businesses that pay its wages.

But you want facts, isn't that correct?  Well though it may surprise you, we like people to know the facts too.  So if you can please furnish us with your "proven" facts about how Vespas are less reliable than JiaJues then I'll be prepared to accept you have something to add to the discussion, rather than simply your prejudices which you clearly like to rant about.

Sorry folks, no 50ccs out there that day except for the 4 strokes.

    Monza Rob (70cc Motoforce kit)

TGB ROB (70cc again but not sure but think it's a Malossi Sport)

The JJ150 is in almost stock form like Tracktune said.  But on another note. I had a worked bug Agility (not a Jiajue....der!) 163cc and was only just able to keep the Renowned Bug Super 9 50cc (in it's highly tuned form ) with none other than Ben Silver at the bars of ScootersScooters behind the bars.  So forget about the ccs, factor in some good riding abilities as well.

Vespa problems, just google in vespa problems and compare with Jaijue problems Its a no brainer Steve .The electrics have been their problem for years. One reason they had such an extensive network of repairers in Europe was to keep them on the road as they experienced many problems . but like all products we have good and bad vespa concept is superb but reliabilty is questionable at times. Like Volvo they live on past models that performed well but this  wont make their present models as good as.You seem to even have difficulty in distinguishing venom from facts. But im sure your comments will appeal to your vespa fanboys as they are designed to.To think I even once posted that you were one of the better dealers around ,keep this up and i may have to retract that statement LOLBig Smile

    Hey Niks,

Of course they have to bag the Jaijue scooter out would you expect anything less ,and yes i am not a dealer I have been sponsored the scooters to do R&D work on them and see what benifit the after market parts that Rick sells are to his scooters , obiously these guys dont follow the racing very much and have never raced the 2 Robs themselves  ,Both Robs made comment on the day and on one or two of the other racing scooter forums on how well they  even thought the 150ss was going and handling on the day ,niether of them have a vested interest in Jaijue so old mate best start eating LOL,  also i dont think these guys no Rob &TGB Robs record as they are some of the most competitive racers in scooter racing up here it was great to be able to get up and race with them  ,I myself have only ever seen one other scooter faster in the club so guys at least get your facts straight  and give credit where credit is due ,the 2 Robs deserve better than to have someone lesson there ability as racers to try and down play the Jiajue's accomplishment  ,you are quite welcome to follow the racing and the OTHER RIDERS and SPECTATORS COMMENTS on the SWS Small Wheel Sunday forum or Scooterists Forum  ,and for the record the 150ss won the first race in a well fort out battle with Rob, the second race TGB Rob got away for the win ,the 3rd race with TGB Rob leading and the 150ss in second was pulled up after a rider came down ,the restart of the 3rd race is the video on youtube where the 150ss got away and the two Robs battle it out for second place ,to me we all had strong running scooters on the day and it was great because we all have differant strengths and weakness which made the racing realy competitive and great for the spectators watching as well as us guys riding ,the whole purpose of posting this report was to let other Jiajue riders know what is happening with the brand of scooter they chose as well as letting them know of our R&D work, this time it was about the Pirelli tyres .

Yer Niks havnt been able to get out on the tyres in the wet yet as Rick needed the trade plate ,but Rick had a ride on the SS and was impressed with the handling he could notice a big differance in it straight away.

    Cheers

     Thanks K,

This is the problem with these forums  , no where in my posts have i said anything that wasnt factual ,nor did i bag out any other brand or competitor ,I can see now why it is so hard to get scooter racing up and going .
