    Sym Firenze 300i maintenance

Hi - Can anyone tell me the oil change intervals on the Firenze 300i ? Also : Any maintenance changes from the 250 model? ie does it now carry an oil filter or oil cooler? Have they sorted out the fuel float in the new model? Has the steering geometry been revised? Has an extra 18cc made any difference to performance?Any helpful information appreciated as I am contemplating returning to the Firenze for comfort.

It has the same engine as the Citycom.

Oil change - 3000kms - I do every 2000 kms with synthetic as it has no filter.

No filter - good thing as lowers maintenance cost.

No fuel float as it is fuel injected.

    Steering - don't know

The Citycom service manual should help with engine maintenance. http://scootercommunity.com.au/files/folders/bolwell_sym_pgo/entry78422.aspx

    Hope this helps.

Thanks kiwiscoot but I have moved on to finalising the purchase of another bike. I would suggest however that synthetic oil is of such quality as to allow 'longer' periods between oil changes, and that oil filters in two wheel vehicles is more desirable as air impurities are more easily sucked into the engine because of the very low proximity to the ground(air filters are not beyond scrutiny on this account). The similarity to the Citycom 300 is noted. Having  previously owned an early 250 Firenze it seems right to move on to new experiences. Thanks once again. tonyr
