    Re: Scooters Calendar 2011

500 calendars nearly $4000 Great quality offset printed. $8 each is ok I reckon, but we'd need guarantee that it was gong to sell. The quantity doesn't really alter the cost as cost is in make-ready on the press, and the metal plates. Im thinking 100 calendars for around $3500 would be about rite. Paper and ink are the cheaper items in the print run. If you got a dealer or 2 to split the majority of costs, and we all chipped in, we'd get there I think. My work just held a facebook photo comp to collect the images. January is all but over, and Feb will pass before the project was completed, so who's in for a 10 month calendar? We could do a finincial year one? I'm happy to design it and set it up for free, we can ask Allen to sponsor it too. Guidelines on pictures would also be set, so it looks Mickey mouse....

As far as Im concerned Dozer is an honorary member of Coz We Can. He walks the walk, talks the talk, he's a hoon and he rides a scooter, and a very shiny one at that. ........and he did show us the best motorcycle road in Australia. There's only the small issue of his dismal amount of ks on his odometer. But that can be fixed!

    Re: Scooters Calendar 2011

You can start a calendar on any month, infact sometimes its handy to have a calendar that includes a couple of months of the new year. A July/June calendar would be worth considering as well. With calendars its too easy to put them off to next year. There's plenty of good cameras out there so we should be able to get 12 good shots pretty easily. Where would be a good place to submit the top pic's of the year? Someone with a more financial brain would have to work out how to sell em.

We really should go back to the style of the Vespa calendars of the 1950s/1960s...........

    Re: Scooters Calendar 2011

Let's do it. Let's get together a heap of photos. Then we will vote on top 12, one for every month. We can finalize it over winter, print by October, deliver for November, ready to give as Xmas presents. We will worry about funding for print later. So, get snappin' Advertising space will be available for each month, ie: Scootersales.com.au has January ad space, Feb can be ACE scooters. Ads can offset costs, but also buys 50 calendars for advertisers to sell..... Monetize this puppy and it'll happen.
