Adding a extra battery Piaggio Fly 125cc

    Hello Forums..

    I am new to this..

    Question:

    I have a 12v 9amp battery, and i want to add 2 x 55w = 110w fog lights. Hella FF50
    My main light is a 12v 60w/55w (1 light bulb H4)..

If i would look for an isolator how much more amps do i need and should i look for the same battery like the one i have.

    Can you please assists me.

    Thank you

I doubt your charging system would handle that much extra load.

Why do you need 2 fog lamps ?

If it's extra light change headlight globe to +80 or +100% extra or crystal vision or H.I.D if there's room.

    Piaggiofly:
how much more amps do i need

    I presume the simple answer would be - 110W / 12V = 9.2 Amps?

Your charging system will need to support this extra load as well as any efficiency loss in the additional circuitry.

Yep cant find the alternator rating but the main fuse is 15 amp so don't thing its big enough to charge 2 batteries . The 2 spots will take approximately 10 amp so on a separate fully charged 9ah battery will last less than 1hr . If you want  the spots so you can be seen then you could fit LEDs in them and run off normal electrical system

I would replace the stock H4 bulb with a Halogen bulb and try the extra light output you get before embarking on adding LED spotlights.

okay...get the point now,  their is no way to connect them...i have done some research..

my alternator is not strong enought to cope with it......so how about 1 fog light...55w.

    will this maybe do...

" Why do you need 2 fog lamps ? "

    Or even 1 ?

Again, what is the need for fog lights ... as I mentioned about you can get a lot more light via other methods without inpacking the charging system ?
