    Re: PCX 150?

Had a bit of a moment on Tuesday morning when it didn't want to start.  I checked the battery and it was over 12.5 volts, so I gave everything a bit of a shake and it worked after a few goes.  It wasn't responding to the starter button at all, so I think the problem was with the button rather than the starter or battery.  The idle-stop function hasn't had any issues, I'll be keeping an eye on it for now, but it's worked fine since then.

On the bright side, I finally convinced my wife to ride pillion, so that we could get to and from the NYE fireworks without having to rely on the buses.  I thought we went pretty well, performance was still good even with 140kg on board, her only comment was "go back, I think you missed one of the potholes!" Hi All

I have finally got my first scooter - PCX 150 and really excited about it. Have uploaded a photo of it.

Got it from Pro Honda Rocklea (Brisbane) for $4800, not sure if paid just right or too much as didn't visit other dealers. Still waiting on a full face helmet as the salesguy told 3XL size is not that common and they would have to order it ;-) However managed to borrow an open helmet from the delaer so could ride this machine. First impressions - really good pick up and able to maintain speed uphill. Haven't done any high speed riding yet as afraid to do so without a full face helmet. Am a bit lost with the storage space as my helmet defintely wouldn't fit in the underseat storage. Enquired about the top box, but the dealer quoted $608 for genuine honda piece and wasn't prepared to pay that much. Will see how I manage with a helmet lock. Will update when I ride a few more kms, as to how the bike goes.

Because our wonderful forum can only deal with pictures up to certain (not very large) dimensions and if the picture doesn't fit it doesn't resize, it just chops the rest off.

Congrats on the purchase. Perhaps look at the aftermarket option for a topbox. Perhaps go to the shop with the helmet and see if they fit. I know my L helmet just fits in albeit the seat crowns a bit for the seat to close it fully.

    Re: PCX 150?

Hi mate, $4800 on-road sounds about right, but the top box is way overpriced.

I had a Givi box from the last scooter and the dealer in Sydney was able to get a Givi mounting bracket for about $90 and charged a bit under $100 for fitting.  The box was $140 (34L size), so I paid around $330 all up.  There is a 26L Givi box with mount listed on Honda's website, but no price: http://www.hondacatalogue.com.au/products/PCX125-26L-Top-Box-Kit.html

If you're a cool dude with the tools you can try ordering the bracket online and fit it yourself as shown here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4eQqqZrAqYk

Thanks for the advice, I think I am gonna go for givi, found some useful info from here and PCX forum about it. Apparently Givi E231 fitment kit and any Givi monolock case will do the job.

Thanks Pyrah, Yeah those indicators look good and seems useful too. Wonder why they left out here in OZ and the start-stop mechanism in USA.

    Re: PCX 150?

Start stop was not available in the US because of legislation there. Also the reason why they have the indicators sticking out further than our's. I must say I agree with that even if it detracts from the clean lines.

    Take a look at this'un: http://iniunic.blogspot.com.au/2011/02/honda-pcx-minimaliskeren-banget-gan.html

Side cases look totally pro, as far as I can tell from Google Translate they were custom-made by the owner.
