    Re: Motobatt

I don't hold Mottobat in high regard from personal experience, i have had 2 in a row that failed at about 18 months old mark which i find annoying. My shop of choice stocks these mediocre batteries as he gets them at the right price, also he can reduce his stock inventory because of the terminal configurations. But as a consumer I expect more than 18 months from an AGM battery in an AN650 with a perfectly healthy charge system. This time i sourced a Yuasa and time will only tell, but i feel confident I will get 3 or more years from it. As for Mottobat, I treat that brand with extreme caution from now on.  Li-On looks the go these days, they will fall in price given time. Lighter weight, pack more punch and hold charge longer over time and are sealed from the atmosphere, no leaks, way to go!!

You reminded me got one of the above batteries in june 2013 to run a spotlight off been under the bench for around a year . Just been to check if ok put it on charge took around 2hrs to bring back to full charge after only showing a slight voltage drop . Not bad to say it cost $69 which included a free smart charger that i gave to a friend
