    Rejoined the fold

After drooling over pics of this years GTS300SS and the BV350, I actually ended up buying Vampire's lovely red GT250ie. I just rode it home.  I'd post a photo if I knew how. I read Allen's guide but nothing seems to work. Perhaps they are too big but I don't know how to regulate the size (taken with my iPhone). Goodness knows how Pete G. Posts large numbers of hi-res pics.

I upload my pics onto a site called smugmug ($40/year) or photobucket or flickr (free) then copy the IMG or HTML links into my posts.

...and welcome to the wonderful world of Vespa, the happiest kingdom of them all.

    Re: Rejoined the fold

Thanks, Pete. My last bike was an 865 Bonneville, so I am familiar with your feeling on that bike. I loved it, but arthritic problems led to its sale. It was fitted with the Ikon shocks within 2 weeks of ownership as the OEM ones were so awful. I still have various seats, soft bags bars, racks and top box for it that I should really get rid f. But now I'm concentrating on the Red Dragon.

Red Dragon: was Rejoined the fold

Hate the flyback sidestand. On my old Beemer, someone sold a fix: is there a similar fix for the GTS to make its sidestand just like every Japanese bike that ever lived?

    Dave,

Well done, I hope you enjoy your new scooter. I'm still waiting for mine.

    Re: Rejoined the fold

Somebody please for the love of God save my windows before I throw the computer through the nearest one. It shouldn't be this hard to post a couple of photos. As suggested by other members, I have put the ones I want on Photobucket, but using the options tab I cannot select more than one at a time, and even then, it's the URL that appears rather than the image. Sob!

    1) In photobucket copy the images html

    2) at your scooter community post hit the html icon in the message tool bar

    3) paste your html code into the html source editor page and hit update

Or use Pyrah's short cut. So DaveO, not too much traffic out your way? That red dragon looks very sharp and Bradr reckons the red ones go faster, but check out under that foot tray mat for dampness etc. Also could be worth investing in a fly screen. Good luck with future picture posting.

    Re: Rejoined the fold

Thanks Pyrah and Pete for saving my windows. I'll experiment with both methods. There seems little difference in the quality of the images posted by both of you, although those in Pete's post are HTML whereas Pyrah's are the original JPG.

I live between the village of Perthville (pop.400) and the locality of Cow Flat (pop.3 or 4) about 10km south of Bathurst.   Although traffic is light, it's quite fast and the roads are narrow and bumpy. On the Fly 150, I was always getting monstered by log trucks and farmers in white 4WD traytops complete with 1 or 2 snarling dogs in the back.

    Cheers

Tried this method and seems to work for me but nothing shows in the preview, so I haven't posted. Should it appear in the preview?

i also tried Pyrah's copy and paste but the image from Photobucket was huge. Is there any step you omitted in your instructions, Pyrah? If I copy and paste, why bother with Photobucket at all?

Sorry to be a pain, but I would like to get this sorted.

...congratulations DaveO from that angle it looks identical to my new 300 but I have no top box although once it is run in I may find the need for a small screen....we'll see...

    ....lets have another drink...
