Are all speedos wrong on all scooters ?
Same as cars ADRs say vehicles manufactured on or after 1st July 2006 cant have speedometer read below the speed now but can read up to 10% + 4 kph above the real speed so i think most era now to read fast . Example my Mitsubishi car & Ute read 5 kph fast the CBR125r reads 4 kph fast . My old Suzuki swift car reading was spot on as it was built before the latest ADRs came in . ADRs for LA class 50s are slightly different as i think they can only read up to 80 kph on the dial and cant remember the tolerances allowed in accuracy
Mine is out a little, and reads high... At 50 I am only doing 44, at 60 I am doing 55, at 70 it's 66 etc. good thing is I aren't going to get a speeding ticket! My speeds were measured by the GPS on my iPhone.
My BeeWee shows 80 on the speedo, the gps shows 74kph.
Since then, I've found out that depression can be treated.
I'm quite happy that my speedo reads slightly high. Means if I stick to the speed limit on my speedo i'll never get a ticket. A comforting fact for someone who in their younger years lost a good number of points and a licence.
