Majesty makes an ideal winter ride!

Been impressed with the weather protection offered by the Majesty. It's been getting very chilly here in Dubbo over the last couple of mornings. Checked out the temp on the IPad just before I headed off yesterday. It read -1. The temp on the scoot read 1. As usual, it was 2 degrees out. On the way to work, I watched it drop to -1 on the temp gauge, which was -3. This morning, the same situation with the indicated temp on the scoot dropping to -2 or most likely -4, on the road out of town, doing 80 kph. The Majesty did a great job of keeping the wind off me. Although it was cool, with the exception of my hands being cold, I was impressed with the air deflection of the fairing. Didn't even worry about wearing a beleclava. Would normally be wearing it if riding the pushy or motor bike in these temps ( and have do so in the past). Not as good as living on the coast, but you can't have everything.😀.

Mick, just add some heated grips and then you'll be completely set for the winter.

Yes, scooters are good this way :)

Slightly off-topic, but I'm curious how's the scooter scene in Dubbo?

If I was riding any great length on a regular basis, then I would definately get the heated grips. Work is only a 10 minute ride though.

The scooter scene is actually growing here. I've seen a couple of PCX's, even the odd Piagio Fly and there isn't a Piaggio dealer in cooee of here.(The cooee march actually originated in Gilgandra, 60kms north of here. Just an interesting aside.) I think there is a Piaggio dealer in Bathurst though. Most of the bike dealers in town though still look at you like you're a weirdo though when you talk about scooters. They only ever seem to deal in dirt bikes.

There is even another white Majesty 400 in town. I've seen it used as a pace vehicle for Megan Dunn ( she was the world junior champion about 3 years ago. I had her pull up beside me on a training ride last year. Had a great yarn with her.)

There is even another chap who rides a Bewee to work, although he hasn't ridden it in the last couple of days (wooseStick out tongue).

There is indeed, Mick. Bikers Motorcycles at 96 Bentinck Street. 6334 2244.

An energetic Triumph/Piaggio dealer. I have bought two Flys (Flies?) from them and had them both serviced there, along with my privately bought Vespa GTS 250. Nothing but praise for the service.

The Fly is a great around town scooter. Love the look of it. Got a friend's wife in Sydney that rides one. She loves it. Bumped into them both in Mudgee a Few weeks back (a surprise birthday party for their daughter and another girl) and we talked scooters for a while.

Good to here about scooter dealers outside of the larger cities. Means scooters are getting more traction. Somebody told that their is a CF Moto dealer here in Dubbo, but he specialises in off road stuff.
