Have to wonder what the logic is behind this one??  Perhaps not enough difference between the 400 and 650.... people just go straight for the big girl.

I would think that a Burgman bodied scoot with 200cc would be rather sluggish indeed.....Perhaps the price will make up for any lack of performance. Tongue Tied

    hi all

surely the 200 burgman doesnt have the same frame as the 650

    does it ?

The 200 is already on sale in the USA. It's about the same size as a Forza 300 or SYM Firenze.

It's not the same as the 650 (thank goodness - it'd be like running a 50cc in the Spacy frame)

Whats the market like for mini maxis??   Would this be similar to say the X7 piaggio or SR300??

I'm still waiting for Aprilia to get their butts in gear and shoehorn the 350 from the Bev into the SR Max.   Reckon that would be a hoot

    Re: Hot off the Press

They  had a  200 Burgmann  at the  Motorcycle  show in  Sydney to  test  peoples reaction to  it. Smaller than a  650 my  wife liked  the  size and  feel of it.  not too  big  not too small.  At  the time  I asked if they  would  be  selling them  in the future  and  how  much? the reply  maybe and around $5000

130 kph don't bank on it as a realistic speed

130 on the speedo, maybe. You'll still be passed regularly on the freeways and their 110 limit.

I've read a couple of US reviews on this that say at most top speed is 130kph.  So that would likely be flat out on dead flat road with no head wind...... they don't mention how many days pass for you to get to that speed.   Given it's weight I would say it would take a while.   Realistically 100kph would be comfortable cruising speed.     One article mentioned it comes in at around 360pounds..... so 165ish KGs.

Given it has slightly more power but a chunk more weight, I would still say my HD200 would outrun it.   Granted I couldnt carry the same under seat loads but that's only going to slow you up even more.
