    slow Take off Burgman

    Hi all

Just wondering do all Burgman 400s  lag abit off the line. ?

mine doesnt have instant take off like I've read other Scooters of this size have and it's only just had a new belt and service done.

Maybe I just expected to much. But I don't think it's much faster off the line than my spacy or 250 virago for that matter.

    jpfvita -

It sounds like the trouble might be shiny/dirty/worn clutch linings (clutch slip).

OR - the clutch spring has lost tension and has become reduced in size.

Ask the people who serviced the bike whether they cleaned/inspected the clutch linings. PS they will probably say yes anyway, but it's worth the ask. Good luck.

    Thanks guys your probably right

I thought they would have looked at those things when they changed the belt and did the service.

I guess if your not paying for those things at that moment there not looking for them. !

Maybe some Sliders instead of the rollers after I have the clutch looked at I don't think I'll be able to afford Dr pulley treatment
