    I'm old enough to remember double yellows in NSW and I'm nowhere near as old as Rod.
    Nor do I want to agree with him on anything.

    Sort of,it's a little known fact that they formed a single, very narrow lane just for motorcycles.
    Best negotiated at high engine speeds in a lower gear.
    Ah youth, the older I get the faster I was.

    Yep, double lines sure were yellow. The colour change occurred late 70's-early 80's from memory. Prefer yellow to white as yellow was more of a warning colour.

    I remember because it was a surprise when visiting Qld that the lines were white rather than yellow.
    And yes I suspect the white paint is cheaper.Yellow lasted longer though.

    Back in the days of yellow lines there were not the same amount of vehicles on the road so that is probably the reason the yellow lines lasted longer

    And rightly so Mike , for a modern Vespa it would have been to noisy , they are supposed to be quiet/gracefull achievers mate 😀😀

    Red ones always go faster but blue ones go pretty quick , but now blue ones are the way to go😄
