    Piaggio Xevo

Just picked up my new(?) scoot - a 2008 Xevo with 8600km on the clock. I could not be happier with my choice.

I still have my Vespa 200GT but because I live in semi-rural area away from the city, I found myself wanting a little more power for the freeway runs that I do. The GT was great around town and on the rural backroads, but I always thought I was pushing it to keep safe on the freeway. The difference when stepping up to the 400cc motor is amazing and the bigger wheels certainly add to the confidence when you hit the concrete cracking around the twin servos at Warnervale. I have only done 150 km so far, but I am finding that I really enjoy the additional power and handling out on the open road.

Hopefully, I will get my act into gear and post some photos once the rain stops hereStick out tongue.

Looking forward to putting up some miles on the Piaggio in the near future

I'm not sure about the spot where your supposed to put your feet.

I would have to see one in person to really know how the lines look.

    Re: Piaggio Xevo

Good work, just a shame I am a bit slow on the uptake/upload😂. Even got the colour right - black on black.

I still have and love the 200GT, but the extra power from the bigger engine makes for a compelling argument when thinking of the step up to a maxi. Especially when you live outside the city confines. The shape is not as naturally appealing as the Vespa, to my eye at least, but it is also a question of funion over form and in this the XEvo comes out in front. The XEvo is still a good looking bike; just different to the GT.

A few more miles have been covered now and I am really warming to the dynamics of the maxi way. At least I have been able to stay in the family and love the Italian way of scootering.

Hopefully I will post more updates in the near future and hone my uploading skills so that I can share some actual photos of the new ride and it's adventures👍
