Thanks heaps Pyrah. This information is worthy of a stand-alone post.

I so apprecaite this site and the time and character given to it by others. A real commitment on their part.

RL it is   ... so Vietnam built. I don't have a problem with this. The product is speaking for itself.

No worries aspro boy just got a copy off T&G magazine and found out the UK now has 2 models of SH125 . SH125 Mode no abs 11bhp 5.5 ltrs tank 2499 pounds & the SH125i abs 13 7.5 ltrs tank 3199 pounds . So looks like they get both asian & italian built models the PCX 125 splits them at 2699 pounds Smile

Re: Hello 2017 Honda SH 150i

.... so a chalked sales board seen showed : CBS -- 81,990.000 Dong

                                                                          ABS -- 89,990.000 Dong

So, current exchange rate @ 0.000057 if purchased in Vietnam would mean:

                                                                          CBS $4,673.00 AUD

ABS $5,129.00 AUD ..... the point of this exercise was to try and establish how much more expensive would have been the ABS model. Slightly less than 10%

... I see the mode 125 on the Vietnam factory web page. It is physically smaller from memory.

From memory think Honda charged around $500 more in AUS for ABS on the CBR300 range

Re: Hello 2017 Honda SH 150i

... yep, if you add the loaded cost, that figure would have translated to the SH 150 ABS, if imported. I'm wondering if they are going to test the waters with SH 150 CBS, with the potential to import the ABS model later if sales are considered strong enough.

The Mode 125 is interesting. It sits somewhere between the Vision/Dio 110 and the SH125 ABS. It has a 14" rear wheel and a 16" front wheel like the 2017 Vision/Dio. So is the UK getting all three models? Vision 110 - SH Mode 125 & SH125 ABS. Hard to keep up.

You would think the SH Mode 125 would be a better proposition for the Australian market over the Dio for 2017.

Yep the UK gets these Honda 125s (125 instead of 150 ect for licence reasons )

    Scooters

    Vision (dio) 110 @ 1990 pounds

    Wave 110 (gears) @ 1990 pounds

    Forza 125 @ 4099 pounds

    PCX 125 @ 2699 pounds

    SH mode @ 2449 pounds

    SHi @ 3199 pounds

    Motorbikes

    CBF 125 @ 2699 pounds

    MSX 125 (grom) @  2969 pounds

    CBR 125R @ 3799 pounds

Re: Hello 2017 Honda SH 150i

Wow ... spoilt for choice. But I think I remember reading recently that the scooter market was up nearly 40% there. Some would claim that some of these sales are attributeable to dealers wanting to clear Euro 3 units at attractive pricing. But there is also a sentiment that this market will stay strong. More bums on scooter seats translates (hopefully) to more road user respect offered to this form of practical / enjoyable transport.

I wonder what makes the SH125 Mode 250 pounds cheaper than the PCX125 ?

    Great information Pyrah

That is interesting about numbers of scooter buyers in UK........such a big rise...ya'd think it's Euro 3 run-out but who knows??

Interesting. The numbers don't lie. This is just January 16 vs January 17, so I am trying to interpret what this all means. So did the whole industry take a hit because of reported strong sales last year and a short term saturation in the market due to attractive run-out deals for Euro 3 units?

Re: Hello 2017 Honda SH 150i

.... you would be led to think that UK distributors still had confidence in an expanding market for the distributor of Honda to have sooo many models in their 125cc (and the Dio/Vision) in their category line-up.
