    Am I buying stolen scooter?

I'm suspicious that a second hand Vespa I am looking at buying off Gumtree may be stolen. Apart from running a rego check (which I've done - and brought  up a completely different make & model) what else can I do to verify this man and his scoot is legit?

    Thanks in advance,

    Run away.

    Tell Gumtree.

Tell the police with details, seller license number, scooter rego, scooter chassis number. Take policeman's number.

Spend your time finding a good scooter.
