Have a great discussion, I'll save you time though.
    They'll lower the speed limit.
That's all they ever do nowadays, it's cheap to enact and after it's enacted it just keeps filling the coffers.
It's always been the Old Pacific Hwy, at least since there has been a newer one.
Might as well try for "The Worm" because it turns.

I will put my hand up for calling it the Serpent

.No suggestions came from anyone else ---not even big mouth ROSCO-- AND i thought it followed the USA ride of THE TAIL OF THE DRAGON plus the wildlife park was there.

Anyhow Im sure Rosco has plenty of suggestions for the Member for Hornsby  ( maybe like "pull your head in")

I still think of it as the Pacific Pieway!

And as for making it safer, all that would achieve is spoiling the fun for all the motorcyclists who love those twisties (including myself). There would still be the same maniacs endangering everyone and killing themselves. All new traffic rules ever do is increase revenue.

I don't overtakes other riders in-lane at speed+50km/h as Real Riders on the OPH demand.

Having riden /driven the Serpent many times I have witnessed death ,accidents etc and it hasnt been pleasant

More recently ,on my scooter I have seen bikers overtake on blind corners ,overtake on double lines and mainly show aggression to anything that doesnt get out of their way --Yes I have also seen car drivers do similiar but not to the same amount of stupidity

They have lowered the speed limit ,but the traffic figures are so light that police do not patrol because it would take them years to fill their books .Cars bikers let others know when the cops are out and about --so mayhem continues and more bikers will get killed

Sure its nice to lean your machine over hard in a tight corner but hit a stick loose gravel or an oil slick and trouble awaits

For me ,i prefer to take it easy ,enjoy the ride and arrive safely---death will come soon enough.

It's the OPH  - a nothing road; a tourist drive.

Sorry, but I was a regular for many years, when it was mostly a 100kph road with two overtaking sections which are now dedicated to bloody pushbikes.

I've seen three people die on it and still the Leather Latte Drinkers treat it like a race track. Those idiots should have their bikes crushed on the spot.

I don't go there any more since I moved and I'm not sorry. It was never the same after the cafe burned down.

Sorry if that hurts your feelings.

Your not hurting my feelings and my suggestion to call it The Serpents Way  was not to irritate people but maybe save some poor coot from killing himself
