The helmet is hardly worth hanging up --The lining is all going --No I would like to keep riding but on something smaller and cheaper

Ive spent more hours in hospital beds this last 6 months than I have spent riding

It has been and still is a great scooter

I am sure there are folk here, like myself, who are clad to hear that all you are doing is undertaking an adjustment to the thing that you love - riding. Size and weight is something I must consider now also with my 'rides'.

Yes Pyrah --your right -- I have bought 2 Mobility scooters --one for me and one for "She who must be obeyed"

Both are Breeze 1V 4 wheelers with about 30 to 40 klms of riding on a charge top speed about 12kph and can carry about 150kg of weight

I bought both 2nd hand and in fairly good nick for $2500--origin purchase price about $14000to $16000 for both

It was sad seeing the Burgman go and without a scooter I can no longer lead the CCSClub  so if anyone on the Central Coast wants to take it over then contact me on the Details on the club website

I wish all you guys and gals riding scooters the very best and safe ridingand I know I will miss it

I had 10 years of virtual trouble free riding (except for my run in with the local Piaggio agent ,after he nearly crippled my X9-250 ) but at 81yrs old and the health problems I have ,it is better I stick to the 4 wheels with max 12kph

BTW -- I tried to gain enthusiasm for a Mobility Scooter Club but todate it has not been sucessful

Aspro -- Yes if I was going to buy another 2 wheeler I think the Beverly 250 would be a worthwhile look at

I am not in the same carriage as you Rod, but not that far behind being at the back of the following carriage. The SMS show was a leveller for me in that the experience of sitting on numerous bikes, those displays that encouraged interaction with their bikes, the realization was that most are too big (and heavy) for me to manage safely in the dense urban riding enviroment that I need traverse to arrive at any real pleasurable riding territory. Oh the shock of it all.

I'm bent on 150cc class scooter - Yamaha NMAX 155 - Vespa iget 150 - Honda PCX 150 - I'd look at the 2018 Piaggio Liberty S ABS if it landed here before I make a decision.
