Think you need to "harden up"

    Maybe you're right Choppa Brendon.

    Scooter HQ:
We have a customer who rode a Beta Eikon 150 from Sydney to the Gold Coast & back to Sydney then back to the Gold Coast where he now lives. It's already been done

I did read about that guy on your website. Maybe I need to ride from Sydney to Cairns. Better still Hobart to Adelaide via Cairns and Perth. I could make a documentry about it. An MP3 would do this nicely. A GTS would also be good too." Wasp Around OZ"

Something for K-star if he doesn't get you all lost on the way down

OOooooooo!!!! I hope it's a Bolwell PMX naked. I've got a really delicious idea for a mod if someone ever gave me one of them.

Should I tell?????  Why not..... A set of big "APE HANGER" handle bars, a back rest and some highway pegs ( and some tassles......)

Ya just can't beat having a good tinker.....

I think K-Star is inspired by my cruiser...

But I don't have highway pegs, and don't have ape-hangers, and it looks nothing like a Harley, so maybe it's not the inspiration!!Big Smile

I knew after I re-read his post, someone would question that. I don't have any of the stuff K-Star mentioned.

I do have a back-rest for my passenger seat, but that is rarely on the bike. Looks too dorky... And I don't have a permanent passenger...

I think the M109 at the car show had a back rest?

The lines of the M109 are low and long I agree it may look out of place, sticking up at the back.

yep, they always display them with the back-rest on. Spoils the lines of the bike, I think. They tried to step away from the Harley classic cruiser look, and then whack a passenger seat back on it. oh well.... At least it doesn't have tassles. Big Smile

So...a little off the subject, but what the hey, can you get mags for scooters?  Seriously?  I want black chromies for my ride.  Can't find any so far on the internet.  But how cool would that be?  YEEEAAAAH!

Re: Scooter HQ Sunday 17th Feb Scooter Ride

I have seen some US sites that have Bling rims, but whether or not they will fit the VS is another story. Can't remember which site though.

You could always get your wheels polished & clearcoated locally for a lot cheaper to set it apart from the crowd.

A Few mates that Airbrush have 'Candied' wheels on motorbikes in all sorts of colours & they look wicked. Expensive Paint though & not on your average daily rider, so I don't know the longevity of the finish.

    A few ideas anyway Tess.

Get your alloy rims polished wont be black but it will look like chrome, if you do the edge of the rim to where the "spokes" are it's reasonably cheap. If you do the whole rim it can start to get expensive. They do it on bikes all the time

Just get a spray-can of heat-proof paint from Repco/Supercheap/etc etc...  Light bit of sanding on the parts and then spray away... Everyone can check out my "awesome" paint job this Sunday. he he he....
