MP3 400 is now available in Australia

For only 1 grand more than the 250, why would you bother with the 250?

Gone: Piaggio MP3 400ie, too unreliable in the rain (think Italian electrics).

Good one Piaggio, just like the GT200 and GTS250ie, $1k the diff. Would the only advantage be licensing? Whats the cc's a P plater can ride?

Why not just chuck in the extra brass for the 500cc Fuocco? Oddly priced I think, and I bet we'll see a price drop o nthe MP3 250.

I saw a 250 on Gosport Road in Brisbane yesterday, it was parked up at a business, and I showed my husband, and he said "Strange thing"  And when I told him the price he said "No Way"

So I assume one of these babies will fit in your garage silverflyer?

will be interesting to see how it goes as the 250 has had pretty average sales except for maybe one area being brisbane.

the 400 might just be the right dollar value equation, maybe the 250 is just to slow for the money, maybe the fuoco is just to dear for people to accept.

The jury is still out for me , I love the concept and if cash was spare i would lay it down as I like it that much.

Was it the green colour Dak?

I saw a "mature gent" riding one up Lindum Road on Wednesday as I work in Gosport St.  Looked awesome taking the corners, real smooth.

Wife first, scooters and birds second.
    Got to remember that order......

The 125cc Bug Agility is rather ill, may be terminal so onto the Mighty Mio 100!

Re: MP3 400 is now available in Australia

I went for the MP3 250 (ordered last week) only because I could not justify a 400cc for the riding I would be doing. Certainly on paper the MP3 400 is better, but I do not need the extra power, and am unlikely to do much highway riding over long distances. The 250 can do highway riding and can cruise at say 110kph, but overtaking would not be good at those speeds.
I am not smart enough to have a signature yet, but will try and think one up

Not for Silverflyer, but for a mutual friend.  Yes, the deposit was taken on Wednesday, and the order is in.  She is going to be delighted!

I know that people will think "why get a 250 when a 400 is only $1k more" - but I'm not sure that many people will need the extra top-end performance.  Good if you are going to be taking passengers regularly, but otherwise the 250 is, I think, far more than adequate and obviously will have a better range and be cheaper to run.  But I'll stand to be corrected when we can do the proper comparison!

Yes but you could also ask why buy a Maxi unless you are going to do lots of highway riding.

Sometimes you just want a toy for no reason at all Smile
