I agree with you on that one. If you could hook it up to a solar array with a power outlet it'd be perfect... solar cells, regulator, ac/dc convertor (I assume the bike is DC powered like most devices?), battery charger, deep cycle batteries, power outlet... For a house that would add about $30,000 to the cost... Not worth it. I guess you would be better getting the array for your house to cover all electricity usage with a grid connect about $10,000... OK I gotta stop this, starting to sound like a geek. Sorry! My mind is buzzing with the possibilities.
