Milwaukee. 1 April 2008. With scooters becoming more popular all over the world, and with the price of gas steadily increasing, more and more manufacturers are releasing scooters to supplement their product range. Harley Davidson motorcycles, breaking from their normally agricultural roots appear to be no different.
This spy photograph - outside a HD dealer - shows what appears to be a Harley Davidson scooter prototype. The usual HD up-to-date styling is evident, with perhaps a little retro feel to the design. Engine configuration is not confirmed, but expect the usual HD design, resulting in uneven rough idle, lots of noise, but with torque capable of pulling a boat.
It is rumored to have brakes on front AND rear wheels. Middle-aged, midlife crisis, first time riders with leather tassels, are expected to be the main market segment.
