By the way which bike do you think has the higher seat?

    NS 750mm

    S1 770mm

That is surprising as it did not feel that tall and Denni did not really have a problem at all sitting on it.

Just shows that you cannot go by a measurement - you need to sit on them Smile

Wife first, scooters and birds second.
    Got to remember that order......

The 125cc Bug Agility is rather ill, may be terminal so onto the Mighty Mio 100!

    Hey All

Ordered 2 silver S1's on Monday arvo and we had em delivered on Wednesday morning. We had to assemble the front wheel, mirrors & backrest but they started 1st go !!!!

We have appointments to register them at VicRoads monday morn then we are free to hit the road. In my illegal test run up & down the street I was impressed with the balance from the low centre of gravity & its manoeuverablity. I still have 0 k's on the odo though Whisper

The silver is a nice titanium grey & I much prefer it to the red. I bought a Nolan N102 fliptop to match. Both the Nolan & Shoei full faces can fit seperately under the seat so I suspect I will need top-boxes.

Geez they do look slick & I cant wait till Monday Stick out tongue

It's great to hear the new S1 owners loving their rides. I've come to the conclusion that a maxi-scooter is what I'm really after and have settled on a Piaggio. The 125cc just won't do the kind of riding I really want it to.

a shipment of Daelims arrived at Ace yesterday & I have to say that I really like the look of the S1 although a fly screen would be a good addition to the scooter. Does anyone know if that's possible?

I just wish I was in the market for a 125. I COULD use it as a commuter & keep the Vespa for joy rides... no I had better not go down that path again! Confused

I'm starting to wonder if working at Ace is such a good idea after all! Wink

does look very smart....looking forward to check one out ScooterHQ soon! ...pity it's only 125 (I'm looking at up to a 250 next time round)

It'd be a very cool commuter. Does anyone know if the S2 will be hitting Aussie shores any time soon? I know of atleast one person who would buy one & no it's not me! Big Smile

Apart from never getting to ride the S1 due to her ladyship hijacking on a daily basis ... on those rare times I have the opportunity I reckon it is the bees knees !!!

On the  recent scooter rally here in Melb .... on the CH9 coverage ur's truly on the S1 was front & centre in both bits of footage Party!!!  (obviously a camera-person with great taste in scoots !!!!

Daelim at Ace interesting...... S1 owners all seem pretty happy with the S1 , sounds like a sound choice of scooter.

That's what I have done, Mio 100 is the commuter and the 'Beo for rides further a field. Works very well for me, so much so I gave my car to my sister in Sydney.

It does depend not only the seat height but the width of the floor, also if it has indents for your legs.

    Re: Daelim S1 125

I have had my S1 since July (08) and find it a very good scoot. Top speed better than the NS 125, and distance travel very comfortable. Fuel econ very very good with fuel injection. Have been thinking about Selling the NS 125 but still like a really quick zip to the beach on it .....but my partner is pushing for a sale as it stays in the shed next to the 4WD that also thinks that I have left home. Have recently ridden my son's Vespa 125 and was very happy to get back to the SI for handling and cornering.....the lower c of g with the under floor fuel tank really helps.

We are very pleased to be adding Daelim to our range.  Its another of those products that people just don't seem to ever complain about.  Well made, looks good, and performs well.  Right up our street.

S1 is a ripper, we have lined the two (NS125 & S1) up against each other & the new S1 wins the straight line drag, is superior through the corners & will out brake the NS aswell. Very competent capable scoot, much more than just a commuter.
