    The Rambla has finally Arrived!

Just got back from Scooter HQ after seeing their web site and reading that the Rambla has finally a arrived.

First impressions. Very nice, much better looking in the flesh, comfortable seat and a much better height for me than the Derbi GP1.

It has twin disks on the front and a very short wheel base. The scoot they got in is black metallic. Not much room under the seat but such a nice scoot that I could live with that as long as I had a top box.

Can't wait for it to be ADR so I can take it for a spin up Smith st, with same heritage as the GP1 and Aprilia, I imagine it will fly.

So Dakoda and Mttttt you must take a trip south to have look, it is a serious contender for me to sell the Honda.

I am going to take a look at a Scarabeo 250 before I make my mind up.

the photo of it looks good, although i'm sure it's better close up.....

I remember doing that with the GP1 on my second test run, then realised that i couldn't get off Smith Street.....without getting onto the M1.

I remember turning to Vicki once I saw the signs.....simply pointed and said "hang on!"

    Most definitely Denni!

Hopefully if I am down at ScooterHQ for the CygnusX's front tyre replacement, I'll check it out then, if not hopefully Brendon will have it through the ADR process by the next ScooterHQ run on 17th August!

Particularly like the sound of the seat height!!!!!

Are there any other 250's with twin discs up front?

Rambla is a sportscity 250 in new clothes which already says enough. I am not sure if this means the transmission etc is the same I dare say it is.

Riding the GP1 the other day the 250 engine felt pokey to say the least and sometimes there can be a differentiation between piaggio engine products across the board.

What I am saying is ride a vespa and it will feel more powerful then a piaggio engined cousin due to the exhaust, transmission tune.

The Ramlba I am sure will have the goods as it has a great scooter to springboard off... the sportcity

Its the other way around with the engine Allen, The GP1 runs different (more powerful) mapping than the Vespa.

The Rambla is a Sportscity, its made in the Aprilia Factory just like the Aprilia RS125 is made in the Derbi Factory. Either way they are both sweet scooters.

Oh I want one!  It looks awesome!

Now I just have to decide between the S1 and the Rambla - and convince the boss that trading up would be a good idea...

Used to have a Aprilia Scarabeo 200 with GPR pipe, Conti tyres, Malossi variator, stebel horn, custom paint and polished rims....oh yea baby!!

Also used to have a PMX Naked, Daelim S1 and a kawasaki er6-n for those times when I felt like a change.

Now just left with a Ducati Monster 696+ but still a scooterist at heart and will most likely end up back on a scoot at some point again!

Yes, I think Brendon should ensure that the ADR is completed by the 17th of August, then a taste ride can be had Stick out tongue

Looking more and more like the Brisbane/Gold Coast rides may end up being named after the most sort after scooter - the Derbi Cool

Brendon, are we getting just the 250 or is the 125 coming too?

I am VERY interested in the 125.

But trying to convince the other half I need it, is another story.

You should have a look at the 250, it's only small,  it's really not that much bigger that the Bee Wee.

Tell Hubby seeing that he is missing in action more times than not, that this is a peace offering!

With the Bee Wee and the Ramble in the garage you will have a scoot for all occasions.

Re: The Rambla has finally Arrived!

I went and had a look at the Scarabeo 250, great storage.  Unfortunately the scoot had no battery and was not ready for a test ride, tried getting it off and on the centre stand, no problems, getting it on is actually easier than my Honda. Also checked out the X7 it's sort of mini maxi but this time I think I will go along the lines of the Scarabeo or Rambla much lighter looking scoot.

Either scoot that I choose I think I am going to have a full custom job done on the seat.

Now just have to wait for the Rambla to be ADR and find a Scarabeo to test ride.
