    New aerox build up

Well i brought an aerox and decided its time to do that up

i was having issues witht eh scp trying to find a place to fit the radiator

easiest way around it buy something with a radiator

they dont get much better than the yamaha aerox

I am picking up a spare engine this weekend thanks to a member on here , thanks very much

I already have a good cylinder (mhr rep) and i will be running a stroker crank in it

hoping to get to about 80cc out of it

maybe slightly more  we will see

    I am planing on running a c21 or a c16

Will post pics as they come avaliable

Thanks rpm Also thanks to Jason who is helping me out with an engine to allow me to build this one correctly aand have no down time on the scooter

I will be pulling all the good stuff out of the scp runner engine including the ignition , crank maybe etc

I will port up a new set of cases so if some one wants to buy a set of cases for the scp that have been already ported etc

    then let me know

Hey there. I just bought a new 2006 Aerox. What year is yours? I will ride stock for a little while before I make tuning (sic)... Stick out tongue

Haven't even picked mine up yet. I assume it will have a variator restriction? And is the stock CDI rpm limited? Was a hassle getting a CDI for my Jog from Nippon.

    Hey there

My scooter is an 06 as well

yes i believe the aerox has a limiter in the cdi

but i am getting rid of the total ignition so its not an issue

I have a ginaelli pipe as well as a lazer pro

all good pipes but not capable of going above 15hp which is where i am trying to go with this engine

If i could find some one that could roll tapers for me i would make my own

but making tapers is to hard for me  if i want them right

Hey Wax, I, like Rob, look forward to your interesting post and pics.

My twin jives project has stalled a little due to low work/funds stuffups but turning that around now. Anyway, both jives came with Gianellis and they're pressed. Would it be possible to press 2 halves of a tapered section maybe then tigweld it together???

But dunno how much pressure you'd need to do it to the right thickness of material.....  Maybe I'm just piddlin' in the breeze there.

Ya just can't beat having a good tinker.....

    Re: New aerox build up

    Thanks man

I had thought about using a press to try and make halves as well

I can make one half on the lathe at work

Its just the female one i cant make so easily its to hard to spin in the lathe, but you have given me an idea on how to make the exhaust

Kinda easier to buy one i think but i will have a think about it

Also got a wing bell  and a delta clutch on the way at the same time

I will be using the bgm crank out of the scooter engine i have already

I considered an overrange but didnt want to lose my electric starter

    Re: New aerox build up

    Hiya waxhead.

I derestricted mine on the weekend and fitted a Multivar, 6g weights and a white spring as well as a derestricted Gianelli Next. Goes nice. They are a quality scoot.

Have yet to touch the engine but have some bits on order. A Hebo Manston Rep kit, Delta Clutch, reeds and manifold.

Will need a bigger carb than stock, probably 17.5 or 19mm but was hoping to keep existing cables, choke and airbox setup.

Do you know what carb I need to drop straight in? Dellorto PHBN?

    Cheers,

    FoF

    Re: New aerox build up

i am going to be putting on a 21mm on mine

i would suggest you go for the same

i cant say with cabling but i know the 21 will fit the stock intake

However i just brought a derestricted one for mine to make it easier

The 21 will use more fuel but does it really matter its not like these thinsg are hard on gas is it
