    Re: New aerox build up

well its going with the 70cc kit and the c-16 on it

ihave sort of tuned it up

i didnt do the cases this time i will do it when i pull the bottom end down

which i think at 10500 rpm is not going to be long

it goes not bad at all but gezze the noise from the scooter at that rpm is a bit much

the clutch weights are way to soft and i need to tighten them up to help it get up on the pipe

i think its going to go quite hard when i have finished

    Re: New aerox build up

well i lightened up the rollers and saw a 12600rpm on the tacho

i think the 50cc stock crank life could be measured in minutes at that rpm

so its time for the 12mm to go in

    well soon anyway

I was going to put the stroker in but it makes the transfer way to high at 45mm stroke

the 21mm delorto i am using is a great carb and very easy to tune

its my recomandation for the street

Ok well anyway , back to playing with it

HOOWEE!!!  This could be looking into a big showdown between the Typhoon of jason and the Aerox of Wax. Can't wait to see the final result on the track.

Ya just can't beat having a good tinker.....

    Re: New aerox build up

I pulled tghe piston out to have a check on it

Im not sure the crank is liking the 12000 rpm iuts getting at the moment

Its lucky its a low k bike

I have a bgm crank out of my scp runner and i have pulled that out

over the next holidays i will put it in as well as port the cases

Damn the advanced timing brings on the power early

I think i maybe carrying to much up top as its got small deto signs on the plug so i will back it off

easy just 30secs on the computer

You got to love programable igntion systems

    Re: New aerox build up

im still working hard on getting it right

the cvt is the hard thing to get right

I have it reving at 11000 and then overeving to about 11500 when the variator locks up

Im going to pull more timing out at 11100 to see if i can heat the pipe more and get more over rev and add to its top speed

I think its slipping the belt now as the power hit and it goes but about 1/2 sec later it takes of faster , this is with out the engine rpm changing so i figure its not the clutch as it would rise in rpm

Im wondering if i need to go to a red contra spring

     Jason

    what do you think

Also a pic of my tuning aid

it gives me engine temp egt and rpm as well as data logging

    Re: New aerox build up

Well i got sick of the belt slip , i went and got a red contra spring then did what every body would

I pulled it down and gave the cases a bit of a tickle

this way i can install my fully circle crank as well and maybe the inner rotor

i spent a bit more time shaping into the boost ports this time

the last cases i did i dont think flowed as much into the boost as they could have

i have it sitting there now with the jb weld going off and a quick sand blast tomorrow then back together

Big Smile  I was gonna say something technically smarty pants, like, "Oh, is the anomoly in the latter 3/4 related both carbuation & powerband notwithstanding the final stages henceforth the ulterior objective?"  (EH???)

Yeah......I've never been any good with BS which is why I don't bother!  LOL  Big Smile

So what do all those lines mean???  Please tell us Mr. Wax.  I can bet the summary is optimal spanky kickarse power.

    Oh don't be modest!!!

LMBFHAO!!!  Rob, that sounded entirely plausible to me.....LoL!!!  Mind you when you deal in it, it all starts to sound the same ( or smell the same)

Question for the Wax, Who or where are you sourcing your perf parts from or is it a industry secret? I've got a number of leads now but more is good for when I'm ready to finish rebuilding the 2 Jive engines.  They won't be anything fancy but I'm hoping to have the standard shape Jive similar in get up and go to Robs Bandits. Should be fun for the track. but by the sounds of things, I'll probably be a fair way down compared to rob but i don't mind as it will be good to learn and see what I'l need to do to get up there.

so if I may say " Show me the ladder, I'll climb it myself"  and if things go the way they are sounding, next time we get to race we might just have our own grid!!!

    Re: New aerox build up

ok well all my parts to date have come from scooter centre

except the ignition as i am the agent for them in australia

however i am just about to launch my own fully programable system of my own

I do all my own porting and engine work

On another Note i just started it up and gave it a rev

It sounds nuts. I cant wait to get out there and ruin some other people day at the traffic lights

Just have to dial in the carb and the variator now

But i am over it for today
