    Re: New aerox build up

ok ordered my dr pulley hit clutch

it was smoking the old one off the line and it was killing the power

Not cheap but they are the best you can buy so i guess you only have to buy it once

The mhr delta clutch was a joke( like a lot of malossi stuff) and it going in the bin as soon as the decent stuff turns up

Isn't the Malossi adjustable?  Can't weights be added to make it bite harder?

    yes they can be

it has the heavy weights in it

but the whole body of the clutch has distorted

It buckled under the load of a 70cc

not really what i had in mind when i brought it about 6mths ago

Struth!  I thought Maslossi made race stuff to be punished.  That delta clutch is the one with the bracing plate, no?  Stage 6 is a similar design, if I remember rightly.

I've got PMTuning adjustables in mine.  Bang for Buck, ok (when the AU$ was more favourable) , but I'd like them to bite harder, & I'm already on the softest spring setting.....all I can think to do is get some heavier screws in there that appear to do nothing but add weight to the shoe. I've bedded them in, too, but still too lame.

I've got Malossi bells in there.....they seemed quite cheap, & I was going for strength.  I had my sights on those Asian ones (can't remember the make) with loads of vent holes in the bell surface.

    Re: New aerox build up

Yeah i am running the braced clutch

But the plates are no longer hitting the bell correctly

    its a polini bell

i have looked at the bell and its fine other than the fact its now overheatd due to the mallossi clutch not hiting square and so slipping

It'll be interesting to see how it translates to your take-off.  I notice the Dr Pulley bell is a finned jobby.

They certainly sound interesting, & I found a few vids about them from mrp.com

While I'd like more bite from my clutches, if there's too much then my PMTuning ones might mangle themselves up.

Apart from more revs with a slightly tighter setting so that Shel & I can rev the bikes to try making as much noise as Jason Devil  Our clutches should behave the same as last time out at Lakeside, so next time out it should be interesting to see how yours compares.

I have been dialing in my dr pulley hit clutch

Man these things are awesome , cant say enough good stuff

I took it in for a road worthy as I want to ride on the road as well, the mechanic freaked out when he gassed it and the front wheel popped into the air, it was priceless to see his face

It had the front wheel about 2 feet in the air

    Re: New aerox build up

Ok well Scooter is going very strong

But i have decided with the racing that im going to make a dedicated race bike out of it

I have been speaking with a shop and talking to them about sponsorship so if all goes well there will be painted aerox racing around the track

With a bit more gear on it as well as alot more gear off it

    Re: New aerox build up

Well i ordered the new intake manifold today ,im going to rear mount the carb to get a better aproach angle on the engine

I have also ordered a larger carb to allow for more air into the engine as i think the 21mm has reached its max potential on this engine
