    Pete,

Congrats on your new ride - wow I can hardly believe it though!

We are off to Halong Bay tomorrow for a 3 day cruise...

Life without a Tmax is possible, but would almost be useless…

Re: Sydney, We Ride "Coz We Can" SUN 22nd JAN 12

    petegailey:

Pete E, Tony P and myself are planning a ride north on the Old Pacific Hwy this Sunday. Somersby Loop or Wollombi depending on the weather. Will take on showers but not heavy rain. Meeting at the Shell Space Station Epping Rd Lanecove West at 8.30am for a 9am departure. All welcome.

It was one of those typical CWC rides that started off a simple cafe run and ended up an epic 400k journey. It didn't look good weather wise with showers passing over Sydney early but five riders turned up, Pete E, Tony P,  Mitch, and myself on our road bikes and Jax on her mighty Sportscity 250, Mrs Mac.  Petes Ducati was doing its Ducati thing of having a flat battery so it was push start. The roads were  dry so we headed up the Old Rd to Peats Ridge for coffee at the Corrugated Cafe. After coffee and breakfast the road was still dry so Wollombi was suggested. The food at Wollombi isnt the best so we went for Broke in the lower Hunter where we met  a swarm of Vespas on an outing from Newcastle. Its always good to see scooters out on the open road. From Broke theres really only one way home. PUTTY RD!  Mitch hadnt ridden it before and Tony was blooding in his new Kawasaki Z700 so it was an obvious extra 170ks on arguably the best motorcycle road around Sydney. Tony was really impressed with his new Kawasaki, Mitch really impressed with the Putty Rd. the Bonnie really enjoys this sort of run. Got back into town via Windsor, two tanks of petrol later. Great day, epic riding, didnt get wet. Why such absurd behaviour? COZ WE CAN! Thanks everyone.

I love Tony's Kawasaki Z750, it  looks great and a low mean sound to it, when unleashed on the Putty rd he left behind in his wake.

By the way, Putty road is my new favourite road.
