    Not in the manual

    Hi all,

By way of introducing myself, I'd like to share the following tale:

Mid 2008 : I become a newly licenced rider and excited owner of a VS125.  Can't wait to start enjoying my great new lifestyle.

September :  Suddenly, The Scoot is reluctant to start first kick. She seems weak and cuts out after starting and then seems to recover.

    October : problem occurs again.

November : The Scoot won’t play ball at all.  My in-depth research (on this forum and elsewhere) tells me it could be the spark plug.  But I don’t even know where the spark plug is.  Despondent, I decide to wait until hubby gets home from interstate to solve the mystery.

7th December : Hubby (self-proclaimed mechanic) gets home.  He doesn’t know where to look for the spark plug either.

8th December :   Hubby takes bike to mechanic.

5 minutes later : Diagnosis – Exhaust pipe completely sealed by hardened mud plug, a hornet’s nest.  No charge from the mechanic.

Now: The Scoot runs like a dream.  And  my great new lifestyle continues.

Well,  I thought I had heard it all,  but your problem takes the cake !!

Nice of the mechanic not to charge you.

I had the same thing happen with my Yamaha BeeWee.

Husband could not work out what it was.

Took mechanic hours, and they charged me for the pleasure!

Mine was a wasp though, which was strange, as they normally dont like hot areas, and by the looks of it, they had been there a little while!  It's one of those strange things that you dont hear about often, but it does happen!
