    Re: SCOOTER RACING QLD

I'm keen to come up & have a go........is there anyone that can I can "borrow" a prepped ride from? i.e. not practical for me to race prep mine yet (remove stands etc. as I have to ride to track from southside Brisbane & also use it daily as transport)

Well Craig, you certainly went in depth with the novice class.

Yes we also think it is a good idea to make the slower not so hard core riders feel like they are acomplishing something aswell as having bucket loads of fun in the mean time. As someone mentioned, slower riders wear a certain colour vest or they have to display a 'P' plate on their bike.

They will be pointed differently to the pro's but still circulate with everyone unless their numbers are significantly bigger. but that would also more than likely have to be decided upon the day as the scooter numbers have varied alot since their inclusion, we may get 3 one meet then 13 another and so on. If 10 novices turned up one meet and 10 pro's then you could well be split up(be it at reduced track time for each), on the other hand if 3 novices and 3 pro's turned up then they will run together.

The way we run our novice class for minimoto is, any rider that finishes in the top three at the end of a series, must move up.

Once again..... There will be 'NO' splitting of groups based upon times.

If I can solve the lack of spark during the rebuild, I'll hopefully be there both days if not Sunday.

    Front end

throttle is not quite crisp and slick but I've cleaned it up and it's better than it was when I first reconnected. Mind you it's been sitting awhile...

Gudgeon pin bearing? Do you need a 12mm ? Did you have one in the stuff you gave me wax? We didn't end up using your jog kit. so I'll get it back to you when we next cross paths unless I change mind again and use it on the other Low Cut jive....

    Re: SCOOTER RACING QLD

I dont think so i need the bearing and it has to be a wide bearing as well

other wise the rollers tend to fall out and thats a bad thing

    Spark issue solved..... Freakin' Yay!!

Since it's been awhile since I did my wire choppy choppy, I'd forgotten that when I had the ignition key barrel extracted, I found (more by trial and error) that it came down to just 2 wires were needed to be shorted and hey presto. I'd originally had all four wires jumped and didn't even worry about the solo grey wire. Then after much head scratching and consulting a few electrical diagram for other minirelli engined scoots, I thought that maybe I'll disconnect the black ones leaving just the red ones attached (where they would have originally gone into the key barrel) and like I said hey Presto.... She fired up 1st go. Which it did tonight.....freakin' YAY!!!

However, I might be a little too optomistic to have it already by tomorrow. Still need to attach a slider knob to the exhaust side then throw all the bodywork back on.  Not an impossible task but I'm dead tired as I haven't slept yet after my night duty last night....
