Well Craig, you certainly went in depth with the novice class.
Yes we also think it is a good idea to make the slower not so hard core riders feel like they are acomplishing something aswell as having bucket loads of fun in the mean time. As someone mentioned, slower riders wear a certain colour vest or they have to display a 'P' plate on their bike.
They will be pointed differently to the pro's but still circulate with everyone unless their numbers are significantly bigger. but that would also more than likely have to be decided upon the day as the scooter numbers have varied alot since their inclusion, we may get 3 one meet then 13 another and so on. If 10 novices turned up one meet and 10 pro's then you could well be split up(be it at reduced track time for each), on the other hand if 3 novices and 3 pro's turned up then they will run together.
The way we run our novice class for minimoto is, any rider that finishes in the top three at the end of a series, must move up.
Once again..... There will be 'NO' splitting of groups based upon times.
