    2008 Fuel Injected Cygnus

Does anyone know if the new "refined" Yamaha Cygnus will have the digital dash that the European models have?

Good question and one that i am not positive on. Europe gets the cygnusX and this is the upspec version so not sure if we will just have the old cygnus with the new engine or we have a rebadged CygnusX . This will need to be something for our roving reporter at the melbourne show this weekend

So excited Jase, I drove 3 hours down and sat on it. Yes, perhaps my next machine...... I like the fuel cap, LHS on behind the front.

A smidge over $4k, and fuel injected.... NIce.

looking at the images from yamaha (http://www.yamaha-motor.com.au/scooter/index.htm?scooter.asp), it would seem it is the CygnusX...I like the silver one!

is that a good progression from the Vino XC50?

The one on Yamaha is the current model, and the one from scootersales.com.au is the 2008 model.

It depends on how much you want to progress I ent to a 50, to a 100, and am now looking at the Cygnus 125, so its your choice, and what you feel you can handle and will be suited for

    Yes it's one option.

I think it would be a great upgrade if you're a yamaha person. I love it too, dark grey for me please.

what could you safely do on a 125? i mean, is it more than ok for highway type riding, steep hills, etc?

If you are thinking of regular highway riding a 200 or better still 250cc or bigger would be the way to go. That's not to say a fuel injected, liquid cooled 125 won't be able to get on the highway and do 100km/h but I woudn't do it for long runs five or more days a week. My 150cc TGB does 100km/h with my 95kgs on board but there's not really much (if any) more in reserve. rememebr ScooterHQ's review of the Bolwell VS125 having favourable comments about some freeway/highway performance.
