    Custom Number Plate

I am wondering what people would have as a Custom number plate for a scooter?

    I can have up to 7 letters/numbers/spaces.

    What are peoples thoughts?

    Re: Custom Number Plate

personally , i'd be hesitant to get one unless i had a thought of EXACTLY what i wanted to get, rather than trying to find somethin to suit the personalised numberplate (given the cost of doing so). the only other ideas i have are plates i've already seen :( original, i know :P

Here in Qld that would cost $425!  Once off payment.  That is why I have been so hesitant about it

Cost....$2295.... and that's for only one plate.  Hmmmm...I think I'd rather buy another scoot.

The thing that gets me is that I can order for a car and get 2 (F & R) yet still pay the same price.  Why couldn't it be cheaper for a bike which only uses one plate and a smaller one at that???

Ya just can't beat having a good tinker.....

hmmmmm our configuration down here for a stock standard bike plate is three letters followed by two numbers. so i just ordered VEG 01 (lucky for me it wasn't yet produced as a standard plate) and then i told them i wanted it black with white writing, i think to order it was like $30 bucks or something and then the $50 each year!

i've always wanted VEG numberplates but the cost to put them on a car, in comparison to the bike was about 10 million times more and you have to pay an annual fee of hundreds on top of your rego.

What is the config of a QLD bike plate, are you able to order what you want in a standard plate just using whatever the standard config is?

Even a standard L-L-N-N-N configuration is still determined to be a custom plate and costs you a one off payment of $425. I have one for my motorbike AG109. I was tempted to find out if AG003 was taken. 109 being the number of cubic inches of my bike, so scooter would have 3 cubic inches or so. But then I would have to get another plate for current scoot (70cc - 4 cubic inches)

The plate has to be available still, just like a fully custom plate. I was just lucky that AG109 wasn't taken..  The lady at Qld Transport was a bit taken back when I said that I would actually be willing to ride anywhere in Qld to pick up the standard plates from whatever office they were sitting in. Any excuse for a road trip. Yes Cool
