Looking to buy a 2nd Hand Scooter, need advice please??

     Hi all,
My husband recently decided to get his Ls and is now looking at buying a 2nd Hand Scooter to get him to work.

Does anyone have any ideas regarding 2nd Hand Scooters?
    Price Range, Model, Make, Year...

    Looking forward to everyones input...

    Happy Scooting.

     Hi Pyrah,
    Thanks for your quick reply.

Well he has to ride 10 mintues to / from work 6 days a week. He was only looking at getting a 50cc... Then once he gets his full License he will get a higher powered scooter. So at the moment it would be purely to ride to work. So all up about 20 mintues a day for 6 days...

    Thanks..

I would look for a 50cc 2stroke from one of the better brands like [ wait for the disagreements ] Yamaha Piaggio Sym Kymco around the $1200 mark , hopefully will get a decent one . Anybody out there with more input  as  to a recommendation

What you can get will be dependent on what is available at the time.  But better brands (as Pyrah suggested) will last longer and hold their value better - most important if an upgrade is expected.  But I reckon you'd be lucky to pay $1200 for something decent - budget for $1500 - though that depends on where you live and the age/mileage of the scooter.  Don't get one with too many kms on the clock, and make sure that the externals are in good condition.

Well... considering the requirements, what would be considered to be too many kilometers taking the age of the scooter into consideration? How many km could a quality 50cc 2 stroke be reasonably expected to do a year?
