I believe the wheels are larger than 10 inch?

Had a look at one in the dealer last week. Looks very nice. A decent sized scooter for the price, and apparently performs comparably to a decent 125.

I must say I really don't see the point of this scooter when Honda already have the PCX to fill the same spot in the market?

Budget end and up-market end.  Same size, but different customer base.  Piaggio/Vespa have Fly 150, LX 150 (and now S 150) and soon to have Typhoon 125 and Liberty 150.    Customers want a bit of choice, and if one manufacturer can't provide it, then customers will go to another one...

Of course too much choice and the customer gets confused.  But you do want to give customers a choice.

Very true... I always complain we don't get enough choice in larger capacity machines. For example: why Scarabeo but no Beverly? Why Downtown but no 300GT? They are clearly different! ... But in this case I just get confused :)

I guess that's because I don't really get the concept of an 'up market' 125cc scoot, so I think they should just concentrate on lowering  the price of PCX, which in my opinion was too high in the first place... How much will there be between PCX and this one, anyway?

Edit: I see... over $1,200? Well, that will certainly make up for the lack of idle-stop technology, with about 1,000 bucks to spare... much of which you could then spend on a top box to make up for the smaller storage :)

i much prefer the looks of the Dio over the PCX. In this sort of scoot, i reckon you want a slim, sleek looking machine. The PCX looks ugly and as though it wants to be a maxi, but isnt.

Nope, what I want above all is some room under the seat - enough to fit at least a couple of shoping bags, for god's sake! As much as I like riding my HD200, whenever I need to carry something on it (and that's often) I just get this urge to kick it over...

PCX is still quite slim and although it does look a bit like a hlf-baked maxi I don't really mind that look. Especially as that's what gives it a bit of useful storage space.

Well, I guess that proves the wisdom of having both models on the market after all! I stand corrected. :)
