    Yamaha BWS 125 (Melbourne)

Hi all, just recently purchased a brand new BeeWee 125 in white. Got alot of crazy ideas for it! Yoshimura exhaust, Accel transformer handle bars, Koso afterburner lights and BWSX digital gauge are on the way as we speak!

Any BWS modifiers in here??? Share some of your mods please!

    Any Melbournians out there??

Loving the lights - I'm not quite a Melbournian - Bendigo, a mere 2.5 hour scoot away on your beastie (I've got a SYM 150, so they're about as fast)

4 years and 20,000 K's later, I'm still scootering, and you guys are stuck with me!

    Hi wombat,

Yupe those lights are bright as. Also they stick outta the housing so it gives it bit of a jet burner look from the side.

The 125 does pretty alright taking off from traffic lights, but could always use a more powerful scoot! Speed limit in city is now 40kph that sucks. Still "breaking in" the engine. So cant let it rip yet.

scooting to Bendigo would take ages!! LOL will just train it.

where's the fun in that? I've gone from here to Werribee (avoided Melbourne Central - went through Gisborne and Melton).

Join up with the Melbourne Scooter Group for a few rides if you want to meet some like minded scooterists.

    Re: Yamaha BWS 125 (Melbourne)

Oh no, u mean the right mirror is reverse threaded??

I wanted to take replace them with lower profile mirrors. The left mirror came off turning anti clockwise. But i tried turning anti clockwise for the right mirror so hard to the point i broke the entire metal bolt! Either it was tightened hard or i might have tightent it further if it was meant to go clockwise to be loosen. Sht now i got a broken bolt in the hole.

Need to drill that out. No rush though i dont use mirrors anyway. Only worried bout the cops.

can someone please confirm if the right mirror is meant to turn clockwise to loosen?

    Thanks!

Yep right hand mirror as a left hand thread (clockwise to loosen) Yamaha theory in case you hit the mirrors in a fall . The mirrors will loosen of instead of shearing off Smile

Old method of trying to remove a broken bolt drill a hole into bolt

Knock a file tang into hole (be careful files are brittle)

Try to turn out broken bolt with file
