$50 cheaper? How much was the Yuasa? I looked up the Yamaha battery and it was 3 times the price ($250) of an LA Battery ($80) Indifferent

Yuasa was $199. Before I discovered Shorai I ordered Yuasa from the US on EBay for $60ish + shipping $70ish. It was taking a while to ship it out so few emails later they canceled the order saying can't ship overseas..Tongue Tied

So bit of reasearch I came across Shorai. Better battery, Aus supplier, better warranty and only $150 total..they're in Coffs Harbour.

    Re: Shorai Battery

Just a wee reminder to anyone using these Shorai batteries....

Yesterday morning, it was quite cool, and my Triumph hadn't been ridden for nearly a week, so I rolls it out, ignition on, try to start and it doesn't.

Hmm, then I remembered the instructions, and, I know this is counter intuative, but switch on headlights for a minute, then try to start the bike, and away it went, perfectly happily.

For some reason, in cold weather, you have to give the battery a hint that it is to produce electricity but using some in the first place.
