Kymko downtown 300i is it a good buy?

    Hi all

At the end of the  year I am looking to upgrade my ride. I currently ride a 2011 Honda PCX 125.

I am looking at : Kymko 300i or another  Honda . The other one I have seen is the  Kawasaki J 300 but I cant find any australian release date if there is one. What I really hate is the seat on my Honda PCX 125 I always get a wet backside because of the "bum stop" water  always gets underneath and it drives me crazy. Really prefer a moulded seat all in one ,my only wish really

Cant seem to find any reviews of the Kymko 300i.

any recommendations please let me know

    Will not be seen here.

The Kymco Downtown is a good one. What you will find when you ride it. Ride quality is very firm and will tend to crash over bumps. The scooter itself is very quick and will cruise above 120 km/h easy. The motor you will find not as smooth as what you are used too. So a few vibes, harsh over bumbs. That's probably the two things that will stand out.

Everything else is pretty good and towards the top end of town. Other long wheelbase scooters I'd compare. SR Max Aprilia, Honda Forza 300, SYM Firenze 300 and TGB Xmotion 300.

If you are looking at the 300 class, I would add the Beverly 350. It's physically similar to the Downtown, but with more power.

    Sydney /Piaggio Beverly 350
