    Riding the SERPENT

I know that most in our group would be familiar with the "Serpent " The Old Road

There is a You tube video called "riding with subscribers with a crash and police encounter "

The video is an excellent representation  of the Serpent

There are also videos called Hitler visits the old road and Hitler discusses the resurfacing of the old road

Both quite funny but the language is a bit rough

No matter how hard you try, it will never be known as the serpent

Mine's the same day. Remember a couple of years ago, you posted the theory about a room of people, and two having the same birth date? I was your 'first responder'.

....sorry Rod, but I did not even once hear this guy refer to the road as the serpent or the serpent's way....so it would appear that you are flogging a dead horse

    ....lets have another drink...

Dead Horse --Thats what the Mayor of Gosford said when I suggested the walkway bridge into Woy Woy be named the  Spike milligan Bridge --Gosford council wanted to name it after some unknown Labor Politician so I took up a petition and with over 450 signatures Gosford Council conceded .

Further pray tell me what is wrong with giving the OPH the nickname of "the Serpents Way " after all it has as many if not more defects or wot you call it as "The tail of the Dragon" in the USA

I only suggested the nickname to try and get more traffic on the road thus making speeding of bikers  less popular and  maybe lowering the accident rate.

IMHO the ones that love speeding will still speed and more traffic could possibly lead to more wrecks not less

As always you may be right --more speedsters ,more accidents ,less lunatic bikers

Like --I once knew a very wealthy property owner who owned approx 300 home units in western Sydney

There was an extreme shortage of rental properties yet about 90% of his units were vacant

I asked him --why are your units vacant and his answer was "No tennants ---no problems "

Plain and simple when you think about it

    Re: Riding the TT 2017

Well Jan 31 and there is an almighty crash between 2 trucks on the M1 (the old F3) or the northern expressway

So the Serpent has come to the rescue and heaps of motorists wanting to travel north having little alternative

Driven or ridden at a moderate speed this piece of road offers some lovely water views over the hawkesbury River combined with patches of virtual rainforest jungle ,enormous great white gumtrees and an abundance of australian bush --truly a wonderful ride even with all the bends and curves

The dept of roads do describe it as a scenic drive
