There are a few companies who make a 70cc kit that will go onto the Milan. Malossi do a couple, to get to 80cc you have to do the stroker crankshaft.

80cc kit on a 50cc scoot.  Might as well just buy a 100.  Easier, and more law abiding

yeh, i know 80cc bit too much but i think that 70cc kit is just fine, but there are other perfomance mods to be done like derestricting exhaust, before i get myself into the 70cc kit....

Big bore kit is the last thing you do, start with a pipe & variator & then if it hasn't got enough go fit a big bore kit. Dak is right though on the bigger scoot.

I cant understand people buying a 50cc with the intention to mod it, because its too slow!

Why not just go thru the process of getting licence etc, and geta  bigger scoot.  Do it legally.

    Re: Vmoto Milan 80cc kit

It starts out being fairly cheap. Just pop a new exhaust on it. Oh a variator kit, that'll do nicely. Put a pod filter on it, and I may as well upgrade the carby whilst I am at the filter. Hmmm, I think I could get some better power with a 70cc kit. I may as well, as I already have the exhaust, carby, filter, variator for it, etc, etc.. Repeat this until something blows up, and then upgrade to 80cc stroker because you already have exhaust, filter, etc and the 70cc just wasn't enough power.

There is something perversely satisfying taking a small engine and working the crap out of it and making it quick. I had a Morris Mini 1100 cc, which cooked some rings. A friend of a friend had a "warm" engine sitting in his garage so I bought that and put it in my car. It was pretty quick for a 1970 car, and decent for a modern hatchback (this was before all the real hot hatches came out). It was satisfying taking on people in lasers, civics, etc and beating them sometimes.

That being said I am trying to talk myself into getting a 100cc for my next scoot. I don't really want to spend that much money, but I know the 50cc won't satisfy me when commuting. Going up slight hills and big hills is a chore on 50cc, and cars right up your clacker tail-gating you is no fun.

But in the meantime I have my eye on a cheap performance exhaust for the Milan on eBay. I have a pod filter sitting downstairs doing nothing. And the guy sometimes has specials on variator kits as well. So just throw in some light weight rollers and a new clutch spring and I am good. hey, wait a minute.......

Because bigger scooters aren't as fun to ride, especially on the track.  Shell's 70cc Bandit is an absolute hoot to ride and especially with the sticky tyres It's awesome.....I've already got a "bigger" scooter and would be happy to get an even bigger scooter but you can't beat a worked 50cc for absolute funnability. I will be build one myself when I can......

LOL!!! I remember my dad always saying to me when I'd put some Tomato sorse on my chips  "Would you like some chips with your sorse!!!  I know it's spelt sorce source sorts sores sauce but it makes me laugh when you spell it sorse!!!  So Would you like a new scooter with your parts???

    Re: Vmoto Milan 80cc kit

i already have suzuki GSF bandit, but my missus has a milan and i love riding it as sometimes its not worth warming up the bike for short trip. And i realy like the milan but it just needs bit more power....

yesterday i took exhaust off but mine is already derestricted as there was no washer plug in the exhaust so next is probably variator deregulation...

I can currently get around 70km/h on flat road but i just need faster pick up to keep up with traffic thats all...mind you iam almost 100Kgs :-) so maybe i should go to gym instead of buing 70cc kit...would probably work out cheaper as well...

Track is one thing, im fine with that. Just the legalities of a 50cc scoot doing much more than it should on a surburban road

Hey dude to actually answer your ques. I have an scp crapper my engine takes the vmoto. Yes I believe your engine is the same as the yamaha jog except for the WRIST PIN is 12mm not 10mm. Malossi make a kit for the vmoto to suit 12mm it's around $330. don't listen to these people about pipes though yeah a pipe is crucial but without a tuned engine it's well a peanut butter sandwich without peanut butter. And variators do hardly anything you want new rollers and clutch springs the new engine will give you that extra rpm to suit tighter springs and higher rpm especially a malossi. Then you want a new variator. Me I made a new pipe works a treat front wheel coming of the ground on take off. and getting over 80 on the flat. And to answer everyone elses question on why change 50 to 70 instead of wasting my money on a 100. 45 for the rego. Hey I'm a stingy bugger. plus 50 just isn't enough 70 is perfect. I don't understand the problem people have I mean look at cyclists now that is dangerous. over 60 wearing lycra at least they die quickly. It's all relative. this guy should be able to help with springs and rollers http://motors.search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZquadQ5fsquad88 and this guy with a motor http://motors.search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZdaywot good luck champ.

P.s. It cost me $20 to make my own tuned pipe if you know a welder the specs are all on the leo vince website.

    god bless

The Milan uses 10mm on the earlier models and 12mm on the later models,  as I understand it,  all Milans with a single instrument on the handlebars are the older model with a 10mm piston gudgeon pin and the late model Milans with the 3 instrument cluster on the handlebars use a 12mm gudgeon pin.
