    Sydney Christmas Light spotting

Has anyone spotted any spectacular Christmas light displays yet? I want to hone my night riding skills (solo), as well as find some neat areas to take my kids in the car ( that don't require getting out and walking- son is disabled (year round Christmas fetish, so we're coming into peak season) -doesn't get about well in crowds at night, so closed off streets can't happen).

We live in Ashbury, which already has a bit of a thing for the lights (some people don't take them down), but was wondering if there's other places not overly far afield from the inner west- I've heard talk of some around the St George area.

    Cheers!

     Mimsy,

They are going nuts with Christmas lights here in Albury rite now. In the Norris Park estate, those people are certainly not concerned about the ecconomy as I reckon Clarke Griswald would be proud of the dispays some of them are doing. One place even has fake snow!!!

Ho, ho, ho, bring it on...

Re Xmas light displays - this website has a list of places - and if someone wants to plot a course (using Google maps) then I'll organise a run...

Need scooter parking? www.mcnetwork.com.au on the web or on your iPhone or Android phone
MCNetwork - using Google maps to plot every parking spot, every dealer, every shop - linked to every product for your scooter.

Is this current info though...? They also need to add First, Second and Third streets in Ashbury. It's crazy, Mr Whippy sets up (just like shooting fish in a barrel) and it's chockers full of families walking about, kids in their jammies, reindeer next to mangers, multiple Santas, Salvos buckets etc. The roads are still open too. It looks like a festive Vegas!!

I've heard about a street in Five Dock too, but it's closed to traffic, pedestrians only. And somewhere near Oatley.

We did a reccie last night in the car and Ashbury's Second Street is already looking like Vegas, with Third Street next.
