Tokyo Scooter Scene - Winter Update.

Not much sorry, too hard shooting with full glove. Only roadside passes...

    Simpson Monkey

Simpson helmet - \74,000, Monkey - not much more...

    Vespa!

    Tasty two up Vespa.

    Rug.

The rug on the backseat rider is quite common in winter. Guys included. Cannot imagine that in Aus. One day perhaps?

    Fusion.

Non-modded Series One Fusion. Very rare.

    Maxam.

Fully-cowled Maxam. How to make it even uglier! Yech.

    See ya!

    See ya!

Cool Kuroneko- I love your pictorial posts. Is the woman riding on the front of black Vespa in photos #2 wearing a horse-riding helmet?

That be a guy, and yes. Riding helmets are de rigeur for Vespa in Japan (another guy too).

Some are motorcycle helmets built in that style, the ones that are not would not get you stopped because they are after all helmets. Construction workers on Honda Cub get away with wearing their construction hardhats. Not my choice either though. Neko.

I mean, what is this guy wearing?

    Cub!

Apart from getting the stuffing punched out of him in Aus - this is normal here - even if it does not look too cool to me. But, for a Cubista its just part of the scene... Watch though, in Aus as the scooters become more prevalent and common place, the tribes will start to be established too. The first will be what you guys quaintly call 'rice' (cowls, neon, wings, and hi-fi), then maybe the retro stuff...

Lemon-sochu speaking. Your millage may vary. Neko.

Elimentary dear Neko,  she's off to find who stole her gloves, warm footwear and then how to get those groovy Cubs into Australia, because I want one (but I'll wear a proper helmet).

Ken were they not injecting these at some point to keep the model going, has this happened in the home country yet?

I'm wondering about the recently announced news of SYM importing their Wo.wow/Symba Cub 'clone' into the States... From the looks of the copy photographs, it could be a relatively easy job to get ADR here... (it's got the chainguard, etc.--the same kind of things the CT110"X" needed.)
