• Re: Bye HD200, hello PCX150!
When the Honda CB300F came out that had a valve check at 1000km now that's been done away with and valve checks are every 24,000 km . Go figure Yamaha SR400 service intervals are 10,000 km in Australia yet in the USA 7,000 km Japan 9,000 km service intervals
Before a Jappa (especially a LAMs) ...
  • Re: Bye HD200, hello PCX150!

Does the PCX150 really need the valves checked at 4,000k?.  If so, that shocking. That would only approx 4-5 months running at my current usage.
  • Re: Competition in the CFMoto world

The only common fault I have read of the 650 CF is the top engine mounts breaking. I took a 150cc Leader for a test ride and it felt neat. I really liked it. Seemed to have a sense of character about it.  It got sold shortly after, then 8 months later was advertised with 2,000k on the clock. Had a new front brake rotor and pads, tyres and ...

  • Re: SYM range rationalised
Fly 150 should juuuust cut it for 90-95 on the flat if you're built like a Jockey.   I'm a Heffalump, and my SYM 150 (Bigger frame, carby not EFI) is about the same realistically as your BeeWee (100cc 2-stroke, right?) And yeah, if a scooter says 200cc, it usually ...
  • Re: Wet weather

Probably found on a rack in the gardening section at Mega10.  Green in colour. Not much use if you come off tho'.
  • Re: On endangered list
U show the basic punter the Honda 125 motor bike- a nice unit-and a 150cc Fly and ask them to tell U which they feel is more powerful....they'll say the bike everytime!
I have to admit, to me, the CB 125E is a nice looking styled motorbike. A 14l tank and with gears probably better pulling up ...
  • Re: SYM range rationalised

At the moment Piaggio Fly 150's are selling for NZ$3,000 +orc. About the best buy per $ around. I'm not sure how reliable they are. Most of my riding is on the country roads away from the highways. I did 20,000k in less than 2 years on my YW100 2t BeeWee and never had a single issue with it apart from 80-85kph being the most realistic ...

As near as I can gather, Euro 4 Emissions apply to motorcycles now - meaning that those models were only Euro 3 compliant.
Think existing euro 3 models can still be sold until the end of 2016 so can understand the manufactures now phasing them out . Euro 5 i think will ...
  • Re: SYM range rationalised

After 16 months on a XV250 virago, I am keen to go back to a scooter. I'd like to find something around the 200-250cc class. Been looking, but,  There is very little to pick from here in NZ.  Some Taiwanese brands, (Sym, Kymco etc), good machines but with (extremely) limited dealerships. Vespas are around but at almost twice the ...
