• Re: Honda Auto
So far, so good Cam. Skoda is a branch of VW - so I hope your DCT outlives all expectations
Yup! I really hope it lasts, 'cos it is just such a joy to drive.   I did realise it's effectively a down market VW, and was surprised at Angie buying one after a rented VW, ...
  • Re: Honda Auto
The Ford and VW Car DCT gearboxes aren't recommended. They're not reliable.  I haven't heard much about the Honda DCT gearboxes for reliability... But I wouldn't touch a Honda car with a bargepole (and they use CVT auto gearboxes, not DCT)   The Honda bike DCT has gotta be better than ...
  • Re: Honda Auto

Sorry coming in so late, but....   The DAF had a "gear lever" to select forward or backward, and, next to it, another level that "locked" the transmission in effectively low gear for reversing. • Re: Never too old

The first problem is what is likely to be in the test, at the moment, there is no specified test for motorcycle three wheelers. The scooters with two wheels close together count as normal scooters for testing purposes, but there is actually only one way of getting a licence in NSW for a sidecar outfit, or the likes of a Spyder, without doing a ...

  • Re: The price of tech and falling dollar
Yep hopefully Honda has set a trend by putting ABS as standard on a machine you can put on the road for under $6,000 that others will follow
Isn't there some Euro regulation that all new motorbikes, over a certain size, must have ABS?   So Honda can sell you a whole motorbike for only a bit ...
  • Re: Coz We Can: in South Australia
LOL was the first motel i ever stopped at in Adelaide
OK, I give up.   What brought that on? Actually, it's the only motel in Adelaide I've stayed at. regards,CrazyCam

  • Re: Coz we Can Wombats and Oysters

The trick, with Z50 Monkey bikes is actually NOT sitting it up on the back wheel.   Trust me, it isn't that easy.

It's just it seems to lack a certain something..............
Stirrer
Only a bit...... mostly jealousy. To do that ride on my BMW, I'd have needed a passout from the boss. Doing it on the Gilera, I'd also have needed a bank loan for the ...
