  • Re: I just fell In love with a Honda.

Dang ! There was a Red one that an old guy tried to sell me but it didn’t have a compliance plate and it had the shite kicked out of it, so I passed.  A few months later a young guy shows up with the same bike , this time With a compliance plate, and he says he’s owned it for 2 years. It had the same number plate, same damage and ...

I’ve spotted another Helix in Manly, 2095, but it’s not the Helix it’s a Spazio which may be one and the same as the Helix but this one is white, low and sleek without all the accoutrements. It’s was a bit hammered but still lovely to the eye. My wife is repulsed by its existence but if I had the presence of mind at the ...
  • Re: I just fell In love with a Honda Helix.

I know Martin, the Helix is both repugnant to the eye and yet strangely alluring at the same time...  I had a look at a few Spaceys but they were a bit hammered.   I got an 82' Honda Lead with 1000kms on the clock recently and it's great but I've moved jobs and need a bigger engine.  If there was a decent ...
  • Re: I just fell In love with a Honda.

I saw my first one in traffic and I stalked the guy for a few kms until I caught up. It was modded and looked like a flying upholstered lounge.  When I find a decent one I'll definitely share it here, but if you know of one for sale please let me know.  Thanks, Brett.
  • Re: I just fell In love with a Honda.

I'm STILL on the hunt for a Helix in Sydney.  I bought a great Italjet 180 cc that's was like lightening fast and a bit scary due to its lack of contact with the Tarmac at speed.  And more recently I bought a 1982 Honda Lead 2-stroke that a big chunky but very reliable girl that get me around town.  Has anyone bored of ...
  • Re: Italjet

I bought a blue 180 in Sydmey and it's a great ride. Firstly it looks futuristic then it fires off the line like a cannon. Great exhaust note and it's a  bike that you want to ride every day. Wish I had two. Allegedly they're making a new version that's much the same but time will tell if it happens.

  • Re: Hey Surffoils....here's one for ya.

Hi HB, I did some research and found that Stebel make a 130dB air horn that wires in just like a replacement horn. I got them installed professionally for $100. I bought them off eBay and the moment you push the button it's instant panic. It's so loud people duck and quiver but o only use it when people step out in front of me and expect ...

Cuttle, I do more than Surf and ride scooters, I've made a golf club that always hits the ball straight, a vacuum head that actually works and a house full of other inventions. Strangely I don't tinker with the bikes...I have a feeling that the manufacturers built them a certain way with good reason and apart from a few cosmetic changes, ...
  • Re: Hey Surffoils....here's one for ya.

I've got an NH 80 Honda from 1983, 2800 on the clock and not a part missing or in poor repair, I call it The Princess. Probably never been over 60 kph. And an Italjet 180, 4000 on the clock, slightly neglected but all original. Named The Widowmaker due to its psycho acceleration and infamous " unharmonic wobble under braking". the ...
