  • Re: Honda PCX 150

No, what you see on the Aus Honda web page, for the Dio, is exactly what I have seen on the floor at Scooterworld. And they are selling as I have seen them strutting their stuff on the street. I like my white Dio just the way it was in 15-16. Honda really ramped up the finish, especially around the steering head and intrument cluster.
  • Re: Honda PCX 150

Honda Aus.have updated their home web page. Included in the information are the coming colour options for the Honda PCX 150. White and dark blue remain and a startling, to me, yellow - Clipper Yellow. Is Facebook reponsible for this bold colour? - look at me, look at me. Also, the little Dio is still the 14" front and rear wheel model in ...
  • Re: Upgrading from Piaggio Fly recommendations

I'm not sure if you have any ideas about who will service your new, to you, Vespa, when the time comes, but when I was considering a run-out 250 I ventured over to Scooter Engineering at Alexandria to check them out. A traditional style workshop, they do Vespa insurance work also. If I buy used I might be inclined to give them a go. Me thinks ...
  • Re: 2017 3/4 sales figures

It is no surprise to me personally that the little Suzuki Address and Honda Dio are enjoying sales success (in their class). If you are new to this mode of transport, dipping in your big toe, it is possible that you would trust big brand names with on ongoing presence in Australia. Names like Sym and Kymco might not resonate. Add to that modern ...
  • Re: Upgrading from Piaggio Fly recommendations

I enjoyed this thread. What I enjoyed most was your clear thinking through the process shurik. Analizing what is available in the 300cc class most options are mini maxi style scooters that blurr the lines of traditional scooter style. I understand, price not withstanding, why the Vespa GTS 250 - 300 scoots are a seller. They can do most things ...
  • Re: 2017 3/4 sales figures

I witness some serious e bike kit out there. The home tech nerds are building for themselves some fairly serious units, with mixed components being sourced on-line. The new standard for production e-bikes has become the mid drive. There might be some deliberacy with this to beat the nerds at their own game.

Mean looking machine in the metal, it looks the business. No getting away with, 'sorry officer I didn't realize that it wouldn't comply - now see if you can catch me'.
  • Re: 2017 3/4 sales figures

Yep, that's what pulled alongside at the traffic lights, a Stealth B52. Advertized out of Melbourne, they are stated as NOT being street ledgal - (but we're attempting to sell them notwithstanding). You could buy three Dio scoots for this, or many combinations of rides. Blisteringly quick to get away from the traffic lights was this 5.2kw ...
  • Re: 2017 3/4 sales figures

What gives Honda a numbers advantage is that they have their little Benly 110 work-horse, which the others do not. I keep waiting for someone to turn their (non commercial) Benly into a funky pick-up with a varnished timber ute tray.
  • Re: 2017 3/4 sales figures

Very aware of what is legal and what aint. Also very aware that there are many home tinkerers that have their own idea of what best works for them ...
