  • Sourcing GY6 transmission parts.

Hi Folks, (Can't believe I haven't posted on here for a few years...well not quite last post was in 2013) I'm hoping to source some transmission for your generic GY6 engine.  I have a Jiajue Outlaw150cc 2007 model and can source just about everything from the crankshaft forward from Rick at Oz Scooters Direct and apart from the ...
  • Stebel Air Horn and 35w HID lights installed.

Love the tinkering still.... just got the outlaw back on the road after a week and a bit off with some electrical dramas. Decided that the voltage regulator can just stay for now. It's only affecting the flash rate of the indicators and I might fix that later as I might try and install some load resistors and see if that helps. But ...
  • Re: Changing tyres

I've changed my tyres when I had my own little underhouse workshop and had the race scooters back in brisbane.  I found after recieving some instruction from a dealer and fellow racer that there weren't many hassles just a lot more urging and possible cussing but once on there were no dramas. Things to check before proceeding. ...

  • Re: Multi purpose Maxi?

It's a Mirage which has been reintroduced as the Colt had replaced the Mirage from 2004-2011 and is now replaced by the Mirage (as per the photo. But I'm a bit confused as (can't access Mitsubishu aus's website moment) websites like www.motorama.com.au still mentioning a 2013 Colt but it looks like this... Anyway, sorry ...
  • Re: Voltage variation or Is my regulator stuffed etc etc

[quote user="Lizziecro"] The voltage regulator scenario recently happened to me and burnt out everything! I didn't know what the problem was and just kept riding, trying to work it out. By the time someone diagnosed it properly it had cremated lots of bits of the scooter. Stop riding it until you find out, and save yourself ...

  • Voltage variation or Is my regulator stuffed etc etc

I could problem spend a little more time trying to troubleshoot this but I thought I'd post it up here in case the problem might start right back at the stator/magneto. Anyway, the problem is the voltage seems to spike when the engine is running but settles down to a normal voltage when not running. In saying this, things ...

  • Re: WHAT'S YOUR HELMET? THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY.....

[quote user="martindemo"] I must also say that RJs have been fine for me re price, durability and wear over time. I have a weird shaped melon and the RJ full face fits me fine. Re "The Bad", here's a tip.....Thinking of renting a Scooter when visiting the Philippines and using the supplied helmet??? Don't....do not ...
  • Re: Roller weight chart

Nice one. Gives a good heads up on starting values when you want start tuning your weights.
  • Re: WHAT'S YOUR HELMET? THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY.....

I've been a fan of Rjays. I've got an Urban in Gloss black which looks awesome with the dark smoke visor. (but then I am a bloke) but they have some nice ladies colours, (Pink, aqua and lavender) The price range of their helmets vary from sub $100 to $300 plus Carbon twin shield (Has a small smoke tinted inner visor inside the ...
  • Re: Race Workshop Update...

Not that anyone probably saw much of this but I so miss my old workshop and it had a great purposefulness (is that a werd???) to cater for the track days/racing at lakeside. Now I've got a very poor shadow of the former workshop but at least it's a start.  I've just about given up on getting my shooters licence or even ...
