• Re: Modifying a Yamaha
Hey R4vi, i have a stock Runna and was wondering if it did have a restrictor at all, if it does, where is it located? And are there any special techniques/procedures/tools needed to remove it? I was under the impression there was, as when i hit 55kmh on the flat, it just wont get any faster, but i can reach a ...
Did he mention what scoot he was planning on getting to replace the Aerox??
ROFL - I asked him just that question tonight!  He said he was going to chuck it in and keep away from scoots from now on - I told him to not worry about it for now, just concentrate on living and savouring his ...
Just wish him a speedy recovery. It's sad the accident has happened but I'm glad he was helped by the woman & covered by WorkCover. Do you know how long he'll be in hospital for? Is it worth sending a card or choccies?
If people want to PM me I will organise something for him ...

  • Re: First Accident

I had an off while on the Willowbank Kart Track - a minor one thankfully although it involved a midair somersault/commando roll...I got straight back on the scoot and kept going.  Problem was after we came in at the end of the session - I was poop scared to go back out, and I really lost my nerve for weeks afterwards... Glad to hear you are ...

  • MAN DOWN - but not out thankfully...

I received a worrying phone call this evening... Brian (Aerox350) was riding to work today when a woman decided she really needed to turn out of the street in front of him - allowing him the privilege of slamming his Aerox into the side of her vehicle at 60 km/h. He is currently enjoying the hospitality (sick pun intended) of Princess Alexandra ...

  • Re: Running in a 50

Stuff the half throttle crap - give it stick from the moment it is warmed up!  Don't sit on the one set of revs though - that's b.a.d. Seriously - warm it up, chuck in full throttle, get up to a bit of speed, back the throttle right off.  DON'T use the brakes to slow down - let the rings work, get your scoot in the right ...

  • Quietest helmet $200-$250

I'm after some subjective opinions (because I don't really believe it's possible to be objective when it comes to helmets)...And before anyone says it - yes I have a $250 head...Save me having to filter through 50 posts telling me to spend $1000 on a helmet (hopefully) When I get my tax back, I'm going to spring for a new helmet - ...

  • Re: Installing HID lights on a Scooter.
Hey Vicks, We had a guy on here (r4vi) that had installed them on his Bolwell G-Max 150. He installed it himself so it can be done but would depend on each scooters indiviual setup or installion for the current lights setups I would imagine. He was a bit of a ebay nut and that's where I think he got his setup. ...
