  • Re: Buying a new scooter

They are crated at the factory and remain stored in controlled conditions until they are dispatched to the dealer. The factory crating and mechanical preparation for the storage assures the new scooter when unboxed is in new condition. The resale value of a two year old model should concern the buyer. In tenders I've managed, we used a ...

  • Re: A fly in the ointment

Rod, there are lots of rude people out there. But people standing blocking the way of others are not dangerous just a nusance. I'm the guy that asks the kid with the thousand dollar bike dropped at the shop entrance to move it. then if they don't, I do throwing it on the verandah roof. Or just stepping on it as I walk into the shop. ...

  • Re: A fly in the ointment

There is a growing concern for pedestrians run down by scooters. At the local shopping center, there are a few mobility scooter riders known to run into others and they get quite abusive towards people in their path. The problem is some scooter riders are rude and abuse the privilage they have been given to run these vehicles on footpaths. The ...

  • Re: Scooter ABS/Dropped Scarabeo

ABS  does not stop you falling off. It also cuts out at slow speeds where its effectiveness is nil. • Re: THE APRILIA IS DYING..

There is something very wrong with your engine crankshaft wearing at 25,000 km. Is there a motorcycle mechanic near you who could give a second opinion. Check the motorbike and scooter wrecker searchengines for parts. You might find a replacement engine and get salvage refund on your old engine. With luck you could ride to the wrecker, get the ...

  • Re: Scooter Accident -- Advice Appreciated

The abulance bill should be part of your claim on the other party. The insurance assessor is going to negotiate a settlement for the damages. The assessor will write the scooter off and won't offer repair. The next question is how much and whether you want the wreck. If the scooter is rideable, you may want to take some money and keep the ...
